KEC Secures ₹13 Billion Orders Across Wind, Transmission Projects

Mumbai-based engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company, KEC International, secured multiple orders totaling ₹13.03 billion (~$136.15 million) across various business verticals.

KEC has secured orders for transmission and distribution projects across India and the Americas. These include orders for 400/220 kV substations and associated transmission lines from a private developer in southern India. It also received orders to supply towers, hardware, and poles in the Americas.

The company’s renewables business received an order from a private developer for a wind project exceeding 150 MW in western India.

Its cables and conductors business also secured orders in India and overseas markets.

In January 2026, KEC received orders totaling ₹10.5 billion (~$116.63 million) across wind, cables, and conductors business verticals.

The company continues to expand its presence in the wind sector, as India’s cumulative wind capacity reached 56.1 GW as of March 2026.

KEC’s offerings include EPC for solar projects developed by private players, as well as rooftop solar solutions for commercial and industrial consumers. The company is also empanelled with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy under the solar on-grid program.

Within its power transmission and distribution sector, KEC designs, manufactures, and erects transmission lines up to 1,200 kV and provides end-to-end solutions for underground high-tension and extra-high-voltage cabling. It specializes in the execution of gas-insulated transmission lines up to 380 kV.

KEC also executes turnkey EPC projects worldwide involving high-voltage electrical switching and distribution substations.

In May 2026, KEC won multiple new orders worth ₹10.02 billion (~$104.84 million) across transmission, renewables, transportation, cables, and conductors.

In April 2026, the company bagged cumulative orders worth ₹25.18 billion (~$263.47 million) across multiple business verticals, including transmission and distribution, and cables and conductors.

In March, the company secured orders worth ₹14.76 billion (~$154.44 million) for transmission and distribution projects in India, the Middle East, Africa, and the Americas.
