SECI Tenders BoS Package for 200 MW Solar Project in Madhya Pradesh

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has invited bids for a balance of system (BoS) package for a 200 MW solar power project in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh.

The last date to submit bids is May 22, 2025.

Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹74.8 million (~$883,418) and contract performance security of 5% of the contract value.

They must submit a tender processing fee of ₹ 25,000 (~$295.26).

The scope of work covers the design, engineering, procurement, supply of equipment and materials (except solar modules), rection, testing, and commissioning of the solar power project on a turnkey basis.

It also entails testing at manufacturers’ works, multi-level inspections, packing, forwarding, supply, receipt, unloading, storage at the site, and associated civil works.

Bidders must procure permits, licenses, installation and incidentals, and insurance required at all stages.

The scope of work also includes operation and maintenance for five years.

The project is part of the 12 GW solar power projects developed under the Central Public Sector Undertaking Phase II.

Bidders must meet technical eligibility criteria through one of the following routes:

Route I

Bidders must have executed engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) works for ground-mounted solar projects on a turnkey basis. The scope of work  must also have included the design of projects and the supply of modules/inverters.

They must have completed solar power projects of at least a cumulative 80 MW capacity in the last seven years. The projects must be operational for at least six months.

Additionally, they must have executed EPC works to install and commission at least two grid-connected solar projects of at least 20 MW each in the last seven years. The projects must have been operational for at least six months.

Route II

Successful bidders must have executed ground-mounted solar projects of at least 80 MW in the last seven years. The projects must have been operational for at least six months.

Additionally, they must have executed at least two grid-connected solar power projects of 20 MW each in the last seven years. The projects must have been operational for at least six months.

Route III

Bidders must have executed an industrial project either as a developer or as an EPC contractor in the area of power/steel/oil and gas/petrochemical/fertilizer/cement/coal mining, including coal handling plant project/infrastructure and/or any other process industry of at least ₹1.87 billion (~$22.08 million). The project must have been operational in the last six months.

They must also be developers or EPC contractors who have executed at least one electrical substation of at least 33 kV consisting of equipment such as at least 33 kV voltage level circuit breakers and power transformers. The project must have been operational for at least six months.

Successful bidders must have a minimum annual turnover of ₹1.5 billion(~$17.71 million) in the last three financial years.

They must also have a net positive in the last financial year.

Recently, SECI floated a tender for the supply of 260 MW domestic content requirement-compliant modules to a project site in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh.

In January, Amara Raja Infra won SECI’s auction to supply BoS for a 300 MW grid-connected solar power project at Ramagiri, Andhra Pradesh.
