Gujarat State Electricity Corporation (GSECL) has invited bids to appoint a consultant to prepare a feasibility report and detailed project report to set up a 1,500 MW floating solar park in the Tapi district.

The last date to submit the bids online is June 1, 2023. Bids will be opened on the same day.

Bidders must submit ₹683,000 (~$8,321) as an earnest money deposit. The successful bidder must furnish an amount equivalent to 10% of the total contract value as a performance bank guarantee within ten days of the issuance of the letter of award.

The period of the rate contract for consultancy work will be for 12 months from the letter of intent.

The location details for the floating solar park will be shared upon finalization of the tender with the successful bidder.

The feasibility study is required to identify the techno-commercial project site for the park.

A detailed project report is required to study identified and selected projects based on the feasibility study.

Bidders should have completed a feasibility study and prepared a detailed project report for floating solar projects with a cumulative capacity of 100 MW in the last seven years in India.

Also, the firm should have an average annual turnover of ₹67.5 million (~$822,400) during the last three financial years.

Bidders should furnish details with supporting documents regarding their experience, capability, and resourcefulness in the technical bid.

Any delay that may take place in the consultancy services for subject work beyond the contractual cut-off date will be subjected to a penalty at the rate of 0.5 % of the total contract price per week or part thereof, subject to a maximum of 10% of the total contract value.

In August last year, GSECL invited bids from consultants for a detailed feasibility report and project management consultancy services to set up floating solar projects at various locations in the state for two years.

Earlier, GSECL had issued an e-tender inviting consultancy services to verify the designs and drawings of 25 solar photovoltaic projects.
