					</table><p>Mahasamruddhi Renewable Energy (MREL), a special purpose vehicle of the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (<a href="https://msrdc.in/1307/Home" target="_blank" rel="noopener">MSRDC</a>), has invited bids to install and commission  9 MW of solar power projects in Washim (interchange 8) and Buldhana (interchange 11) districts of Maharashtra.</p>
<p>The projects will be developed along the 701-kilometer Hindu Hrudaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg.</p>
<p>The successful bidder will have to take care of the project&#8217;s operation and maintenance (O&amp;M) for ten years.</p>
<p>The last date to submit the bids online is October 4, 2022. Bids will be opened on October 6.</p>
<p>Bidders will have to submit ₹470,000 (~$5,883) as an earnest money deposit.</p>
<p>The contract performance security for the O&amp;M period will have to be furnished in two parts. The value of the contract security performance will be 5% of the absolute value of the O&amp;M contract for each of the two parts; part one will be for the first five years and the second one for the last five years.</p>
<p>The project must be completed within nine months from the award.</p>
<p>The project capacity of 5 MW at interchange 8 is to be divided into two different grid interconnections, i.e., a 2 MW solar project connected to 33/11 kV Belmandal substation, which is at 6.5 km, and a 3 MW solar project connected to 33/11 Kakadshivni substation at 1.5 km from interchange 8.</p>
<p>The project capacity of 4 MW at interchange 11 is to be divided into two different grid interconnections, i.e., a 2 MW solar project connected at 33/11 kV MSEDCL Bhalegaon Panchala substation, which is at 6 km, and another 2 MW solar project connected to 33/11 kV MSEDCL Khandala substation at 4.5 km from interchange 11.</p>
<p>Bidders must have experience as an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractors or developers designed, supplied, erected, and commissioned grid-connected solar power projects with a cumulative installed capacity of not less than 3 MW or higher. Out of which, at least one project should have been of the individual capacity of 1 MW or higher capacity. The reference project should have been operating for at least six months before the bid submission date.</p>
<p>Bidders should have executed at least one electrical substation of 11/22 kV or above voltage level, consisting of equipment such as 11/22 kV or above voltage level circuit breakers and power transformers, either as a developer or an EPC contractor. The project should have been operating for at least one year before the bid submission date.</p>
<p>Alternatively, they should have executed an overhead transmission line of 11 kV and above and bay before the bid submission date.</p>
<p>The average annual turnover of bidders should not be less than ₹100 million (~$1.25 million) during the last three financial years. Their net worth as of the last date of the preceding financial year should not be less than ₹50 million (~$625,875).</p>
<p>The modules to be used for the projects must be warranted for peak output wattage, which should not be less than 90% at the end of 10 years and 80% at the end of 25 years. They should be warranted for at least ten years for material defects and workmanship failures.</p>
<p>In January this year, MSRDC <a href="https://mercomindia.com/eoi-invited-to-develop-120-mw-of-solar-projects/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">issued</a> an expression of interest to develop 120 MW of solar projects on land available along the Hindu Hrudaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg.</p>
<p>Earlier, MREL had <a href="https://mercomindia.com/msrdc-issues-epc-tender-solar/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">issued</a> an EPC tender to develop a 5 MW(AC) ground-mounted solar project at Bhilkheda in Washim, Maharashtra.</p>

EPC Tender Floated for 9 MW of Solar Power Projects in Maharashtra

<p>Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation Limited (<a href="https://www.msrdc.in/1307/Home" target="_blank" rel="noopener">MSRDC</a>) has issued an expression of interest to develop 120 MW of solar projects on land available across the 701-kilometer Hindu Hrudaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg (HHBTMSM).</p>
<p>The last date to submit expressions is February 17, 2022.</p>
<p>The EoI is invited from the prospective engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) companies, captive and utility-scale solar project developers interested in setting up solar power projects at the offered project lands.</p>
<p>The HHBTMSM, i.e., Nagpur Mumbai Super Communication Expressway, also known as ‘Maharashtra Prosperity Corridor,’ is the flagship green-field project of the Government of Maharashtra connecting ten districts directly to Mumbai and fourteen other districts through a feeder network.</p>
<p>As a green initiative, MSRDC has assessed around 138 MW of solar capacity at seven interchanges along the HHBTMSM. Of this, a 5 MW solar project at Bhilkheda village in the Washim district is being developed by its special purpose vehicle Mahasamruddhi Renewable Energy Limited.</p>
<p>Earlier this month, Mahasamruddhi Renewable Energy Limited <a href="https://mercomindia.com/msrdc-issues-epc-tender-solar/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">issued</a> an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) tender to develop a 5 MW(AC) project at Bhilkheda in the Washim district.</p>
<p>MSRDC is also expected to develop a 4 MW solar project at Mahekar village in the Buldhana district.</p>
<p>The company intends to offer the balance assessed capacity to prospective developers on the lands to be made available on a long-term lease of 27 years. As per MSRDC’s detailed survey, there is potential for setting up around 120 MW of solar projects across six locations.</p>
<p>Mercom had earlier <a href="https://mercomindia.com/maharashtra-consultants-solar-nagpur-mumbai-highway/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> that MSRDC issued a consultancy servicing tender to assess the potential for developing 150-200 MW of solar projects along the Nagpur-Mumbai Superhighway.</p>
<p>The company said a 22.47 MW solar project could be developed at Virul in the Nagpur district. In the Amravati district’s Dhamangaon village, around 81 acres of land is to be selected for an 18 MW solar project and 88 acres in Talegaon village to set up 24.5 MW of solar projects.</p>
<p>In the Washim district, the company is expected to develop 26 MW solar projects at Malegoan and 11 MW solar projects at Karanja Lad. It would allocate 70 acres of land in Mehkar village in the Buldhana district.</p>
<p>MSRDC will invite a separate financial quote for the lease rent for the land offered for solar project development, and no financial bid is required as a part of EoI submission.</p>

EoI Invited to Develop 120 MW of Solar Projects Along Maharashtra Prosperity Corridor

<p>Mahasamruddhi Renewable Energy Limited (MREL), a special purpose vehicle (SPV) of Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation Limited (<a href="https://www.msrdc.in/1307/Home" target="_blank" rel="noopener">MSRDC</a>), has issued an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) tender to develop a 5 MW(AC) ground-mounted solar project at Bhilkheda in Washim, Maharashtra.</p>
<p>The last date to submit online bids is February 10, 2022. Technical bids will be opened the following day. The pre-bid meeting will take place on January 24.</p>
<p>Bidders must furnish ₹200,000 (~$2,704) as an earnest money deposit. In addition, the successful bidder must submit 10% of the contract value within ten days from the issuance of the letter of acceptance.</p>
<p>The scope of work includes the designing, engineering, procuring, supplying, insuring, packing, forwarding, loading, transporting, unloading, constructing, installing, testing, erecting, and commissioning of the 5 MW grid-connected solar project. After commissioning the project, the successful bidder must provide comprehensive operation and maintenance services for ten years.</p>
<p>The successful bidder will also be responsible for land development as per the project requirement and laying off transmission lines from the solar power project to the nearest sub-station of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) or Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (MSETCL).</p>
<p>Bidders must have developed and commissioned grid-connected solar power projects with a total capacity of 3 MW or above to be eligible. Of this, at least one solar project should have 1 MW of higher capacity, and the project should be in successful operation for at least six months before the bid due date.</p>
<p>In addition, the bidders should have executed at least one electrical sub-station of 11/22 kV or above voltage level, including equipment like the voltage circuit breaker and a power transformer.</p>
<p>Bidders’ average annual turnover must not be less than ₹100 million (~$1.35 million) in the last three financial years. In the last financial year, their net worth must be over ₹50 million (~$676,105).</p>
<p>The successful bidder should provide a ten-year warranty for the solar modules. Furthermore, the modules must have a performance warranty of over 97% during the first year, over 90% in the first ten years, and over 80% at the end of 25 years.</p>
<p>According to the tender document, the capacity utilization factor (CUF) should be a minimum of 25.09%. Any shortfall in the CUF would attract liquidated damages at 25% of the power sale tariff agreed between MREL and MSEDCL.</p>
