					</table><p>SJVN Green Energy, a subsidiary of <a href="https://sjvn.nic.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">SJVN</a>, has invited bids to purchase or lease up to 1,000 acres of land in Assam for 28 years to develop 200 MW of solar power projects, including connectivity with the state transmission utility system.</p>
<p>The selected land should have all necessary regulatory approvals, including chain link fencing around its boundaries.</p>
<p>The last date for the submission of bids is December 26, 2023. Bids will be opened the same day.</p>
<p>Bidders have to submit ₹5,900 (~$70.75) as the cost of the bid document.</p>
<p>Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit as follows:</p>
<ul>
<li>For 200 acres – ₹500,000 (~$5,996)</li>
<li>For 400 acres – ₹1 million (~$11,993)</li>
<li>For 600 acres – ₹1.5 million (~$17,989)</li>
<li>For 800 acres – ₹2 million (~$23,986)</li>
<li>For 1,000 acres and above &#8211; ₹2.5 million (~$30,001)</li>
</ul>
<p>Bidders can propose multiple land parcels, with each single connected parcel being either 200 acres or a multiple thereof, up to a maximum of 1,000 acres. Any single connected land parcel less than 200 acres will not be considered.</p>
<p>If the land parcel exceeds 200 acres but is not in multiples of 200 acres, area will be adjusted to the nearest multiple of 200 acres, and the bidder&#8217;s quoted prices for that land parcel will also be adjusted or prorated accordingly.</p>
<p>If a bidder submits a proposed land parcel that combines outright purchase and lease land, such a parcel will be rejected.</p>
<p>The land can be located within a solar park, provided it can be transferred to SJVN Green Energy through outright purchase in accordance with solar park rules and regulations.</p>
<p>At the time of submitting the bid, the bidder must either have an agreement to sell or own at least 20% of the offered land parcel. This agreement must remain valid for a minimum of three months from the deadline for the last bid submission date.</p>
<p>The closest part of the land must not be more than 15 kilometers in aerial distance from the state&#8217;s nearest grid sub-station, with the minimum estimated spare capacity specified as follows: 200 MW for 1,000 acres, 160 MW for 800 acres, 120 MW for 600 acres, 80 MW for 400 acres, and 40 MW for 200 acres.</p>
<p>The land must have a minimum annual global horizontal irradiance of 1,550 kWh/m2. It should form a single connected patch and must be accessible via road. SJVN Green Energy retains the right to accept the land parcel as a whole or in parts.</p>
<p>The land must not be in or within the prohibited range of any wildlife-protected area or defense establishment, and there should be no government restrictions in setting up a solar power project on the offered land.</p>

					</table><p>SJVN Green Energy, a subsidiary of <a href="https://sjvn.nic.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">SJVN</a>, has invited bids to acquire or lease 4,000 acres of land for 28 years with all statutory clearances, including chain link fencing around the periphery of the land.</p>
<p>The objective is to establish connectivity with the interstate transmission system (ISTS), facilitating the development of solar power projects with a capacity of up to 1 GW in Gujarat and Rajasthan.</p>
<p>The last date for the submission of bids is December 22, 2023. Bids will be opened the same day.</p>
<p>Bidders have to submit ₹5,000 (~$60) as the cost of the bid document.</p>
<p>Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit as follows:</p>
<ul>
<li>For 1,000 acres &#8211; ₹1million (~$12,000)</li>
<li>For 2,000 acres &#8211; ₹2 million (~$24,001)</li>
<li>For 3,000 acres &#8211; ₹3 million (~$36,001)</li>
<li>For 4,000 acres and above &#8211; ₹4 million (~$48,002)</li>
</ul>
<p>Bidders can propose multiple land parcels. Each connected land parcel should be either 1,000 acres or multiples of 1,000 acres, up to a maximum of 4,000 acres.</p>
<p>Any single connected land parcel below 1,000 acres will not be accepted.</p>
<p>The offered land may also be situated within a solar park, provided it can be transferred to SJVN Green Energy through outright purchase per Solar Park Rules and Regulations.</p>
<p>Bidders must also have an Agreement to Sell or ownership of at least 20% of the land parcel at the time of bid submission, valid for a minimum of three months from the bid submission deadline.</p>
<p>The proximity of the land to the ISTS grid substation is crucial, with the nearest point not exceeding an aerial distance of 15 km. The minimum estimated spare capacity varies based on the land area, ranging from 250 MW for 1,000 acres to 1,000 MW for 4,000 acres.</p>
<p>The land must have a minimum annual global horizontal irradiance of 1,900/kWh/m2, and it should be a single connected patch accessible by a jeepable road.</p>
<p>SJVN Green Energy will retain the right to accept the land parcel as a whole or in parts, with increments of 1,000 acres.</p>
<p>The offered land must not be located within or in proximity to any wildlife-protected area or defense establishment. There should be no government restrictions hindering the establishment of a solar project on the proposed land.</p>
<p>SJVN has also <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/sjvn-invites-bids-solar-projects-in-punjab" target="_blank" rel="noopener">sought</a> bids to purchase or lease 1,000 acres of land in Punjab for 28 years to develop a 200 MW solar project.</p>
<p>Earlier, MNRE had <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/sjvn-float-renewable-energy-tenders" target="_blank" rel="noopener">designated</a> SJVN as the implementing agency for floating tenders for renewable energy projects. It will also act as the intermediary procurer of power and work with other agencies to avoid concurrent bids.</p>

<p>The land must constitute a single connected patch and have access through a motorable road.</p>
<p>The land should have a minimum annual global horizontal irradiance of 1,650 kWh/m2.</p>
<p>Recently, SJVN Green Energy <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/evergreen-apraava-sjvn-torrent-blupine-avaada-secis-wind-auction" target="_blank" rel="noopener">emerged</a> as one of the successful bidders in SECI’s auction of 1.2 GW of ISTS-connected wind power projects (Tranche XIV).</p>
<p>Earlier, MNRE had <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/sjvn-float-renewable-energy-tenders" target="_blank" rel="noopener">designated</a> SJVN as the implementing agency responsible for floating tenders for renewable energy projects. SJVN Invites Bids to Acquire Land for 200 MW Solar Projects in Punjab

<p>Adani Group’s initiative to expand its solar power generation portfolio has hit a temporary roadblock. A report by PTI said that the Rajasthan High Court has temporarily stayed its 1,500 MW project in Rajasthan following land acquisition issues with local farmers.</p>
<p>According to Mercom’s sources, the Adani Renewable Energy Park has two land parcels totaling about 13,000 bighas (8,125 acres) near Pokhran in Jaisalmer. This particular petition involves around 6,115 bighas (3,821 acres) falling under the Great Indian Bustard (GIB) conservation area in Rajasthan.</p>
<p>A group of local farmers have challenged the state’s decision to allocate the land to the private business house for undertaking a solar power project.</p>
<p>A Jodhpur Bench of the Rajasthan High Court heard the petition. The bench has asked Adani and the state government to present their views while ordering the status quo over the project land. The bench is slated to hear the matter on September 29, 2020.</p>
<p><strong>Case Background</strong></p>
<p>Rajasthan government allocated the land to Adani in 2018. The parcel in question was a stretch of land in Nedan village of Pokhran tehsil and sold to the Adani group company at nearly ₹135 million (~$1.77 million). Farmers at the Nedan villagers challenged this land allocation.</p>
<p>The parcel was earlier marked as agricultural land, which according to recent reports, was changed to barren land through an executive order on May 30, 2017, allowing the state to hand it over to Adani for the solar park.</p>
<p>The petitioners have objected to the allocation since lands reserved for cultivation cannot be allotted for any other purposes. They insisted that the entire 6,115 bigha was neither waste land nor barren. Farmers have been cultivating the land for several years, the petition claimed.</p>
<p>The petitioners also objected to the allocation as it may have a fatal impact on the conservation of the Great Indian Bustard in the region as the land in question is adjacent to village Rasla known as Rasla Park, reserved for their conservation. Farmers fear the project will harm the efforts of conservation of these birds.</p>
<p>According to <a href="https://mercomindia.com/research/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Mercom’s India Solar Project Tracker</a>, Adani Green has an installed solar PV capacity of nearly 2.4 GW and 10 GW of solar PV projects under various stages of development across the country.</p>
<p>Kilaj Solar (Maharashtra) Private Limited, a step-down subsidiary of Adani Green, recently <a href="https://mercomindia.com/adani-green-commissions-solar-project-rajasthan/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">commissioned</a> a 50 MW solar power project having a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Solar Energy Corporation of India at ₹2.54 (~$0.03)/kWh for 25 years. The 50 MW project is located in Rajasthan.</p>
