Commercial and industrial (C&I) businesses can not only cut carbon emissions and power costs but also meet the green procurement criteria increasingly mandated by international companies for their suppliers.
The C&I sector has options like solar open access and rooftop solar to make their operations more environment- friendly. With renewable energy becoming increasingly mainstream, banks and other financial institutions have been tailoring their loan products to the specific needs of businesses switching to clean energy sources.
Businesses intending to adopt renewable power can benefit by attending the fifth event in the ‘C&I Clean Energy Meet’ series hosted by Mercom India to be held in Jaipur on September 19, 2025, at The Lalit Jaipur.
The event will help businesses understand open access procurement and rooftop solar adoption to enable C&I consumers to cut power costs and accelerate their shift to renewables. Panel discussions at the Clean Energy Meet will also discuss the various financing options available for the execution of solar projects.
Registrations for the day-long event will begin at 9:30 AM, followed by an inaugural session at 10:30 AM led by K L Jain, President at Rajasthan Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
It will be followed by a 50-minute panel discussion on “Rooftop Solar – Harnessing the Green Route to Reducing Electricity Bills” which will discuss strategies for lowering electricity costs and maximizing returns from rooftop solar installations. The panelists are Pratibha Sharma, Head- Sales and Marketing (North India) at Ningbo Deye New Energy, Arvind Datt Semwal, Domestic Head at Adani Solar, and Vikash Upadhyay, Vice President (Sales) at Swelect Energy Systems. The discussion will be held between 10:55 AM and 11:45 AM.
A 20-minute case study by Insolation Energy will follow the panel session.
After a tea break, a discussion on “Clean Power Purchase – Switching to Renewable Energy and Optimizing Savings” will explore how businesses can procure renewable power effectively and maximize savings. The panelists for this session are Deepak Jain, Chief Technical Officer at Insolation Energy, Himanshu Chandrakar, Chief Marketing Officer at Altilium Energie, and Rahul Makahaniya, Chief Marketing Officer at Soleos Solar Energy.
At the last session titled “Attractive Financing Options – Easy and Affordable Green Loans,” businesses can learn about the various financing options available for them to adopt renewable energy. The session will feature Piyush Bang, Chief Manager at Credit Fair, Prateek Nichani, Senior Manager (Project Finance) at Aditya Birla Finance, Dheerendra Jeengar, General Manager at Rajasthan Gramin Bank, and Avinash Patodi, AGM at the State Bank of India. The session will be held between 1:25 PM and 2:10 PM.
The panel session will be followed by a networking lunch break, and the event will conclude with an interactive question-and-answer session.
