SJVN has invited bids for the balance of systems (BoS) and land package to set up 401 MW solar projects in Maharashtra under the Mukhya Mantri Saur Krushi Vahini (MSKVY) 2.0 program (Component C).
The last date to submit bids is September 9, 2025. Bids will be opened on the same day.
Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹582,000 (~$6,660)/MW. They must submit a bid document fee of ₹5,000 (~$57) plus 18% GST.
SJVN Green Energy (SGEL), a wholly owned subsidiary of SJVN, bagged 1,352 MW capacity of solar power projects under the MSKVY 2.0 program. The BoS and land package for 401 MW solar projects is a part of the 1.3 GW projects won by SGEL.
The scope of work covers identifying and arranging land, complete transfer of ownership/sub-lease of land in favor of SGEL, and development of the land. It includes the arrangement of buildings, plant, and machinery, ancillary equipment, material, switchgear, transformers, protection equipment, and the development, design, and construction.
It also covers operation and maintenance for the solar projects and evacuation infrastructure up to the interconnection point for three years.
Bidders must ensure the transportation of modules to the project site.
Bidders must set up the power evacuation system up to the interconnection point for the allocated capacity.
Successful bidders must have designed, supplied, erected/supervised the erection, and commissioned engineering procurement and construction (EPC) or balance of system of a grid-connected solar power project of a cumulative capacity of at least 30 MW. At least one of the projects must be of at least 10 MW and must have been operational for at least three months.
Bidders who have developed grid-connected solar power projects of at least 30 MW are also eligible. One of the projects must be of at least 10 MW and must have been operational for three months.
Alternatively, the successful bidder must be a developer or an EPC contractor who has executed a single industrial project worth ₹8.8 million (~$100,708)/MW in the power/steel/oil and gas/petro-chemical/fertilizer/cement/and coal mining sector. The project must have operated for at least six months.
Additionally, bidders must have executed at least one electrical substation as a developer or an EPC contractor of at least 33 kV, consisting of equipment such as at least 33 kV circuit breakers and power transformers. The substation must have been operational for at least six months.
Bidders must have a minimum average turnover of ₹8.8 million (~$100,708)/MW in the last three financial years. They should have maintained a positive net worth in at least two of the last three financial years.
In August 2025, Maharashtra State Electricity Board Solar Agro Power, a wholly owned subsidiary of MSEB Holding Company, invited bids to develop and supply 3.43 GW of solar power from 509 power projects under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0.
