The Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation (UPPCL) announced the winners of the 375 MW/1,500 MWh standalone battery energy storage auction. KCC Buildcon won 187.5 MW/750 MWh, and Agastya Green Energy won 62.5 MW/250 MWh at a tariff of ₹6.45 (~$0.0680)/kWh. MKC Green Energy won 125 MW/500 MWh out of a quoted 187.5 MW/750 MWh at a tariff of ₹6.46 (~$0.0681)/kWh under the bucket-filling method.
India’s Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade issued a standard operating procedure (SOP) for processing foreign direct investment proposals requiring government approval. The SOP identifies eligible sectors and activities, including capital goods manufacturing; electronic capital goods and electronic component manufacturing; polysilicon and wafer manufacturing; advanced battery components; rare-earth permanent magnets; and rare-earth processing.
The Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission introduced new renewable energy compliance requirements, distributed renewable energy targets, and aligned the state rules with the central government’s renewable consumption obligation framework. The regulations titled Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission (Renewable Purchase Obligation (First Amendment)) took effect on April 1, 2026.

The Konkan Railway Corporation invited bids for the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a 5 MW solar power project at Murdeshwar in Karnataka. The power produced by the project will be supplied to the Murdeshwar substation at 25 kV, single-phase, 50Hz, along with the required protection system. The last date to submit bids is May 28, 2026. Bids will be opened on the same day.
The Lakshadweep Electricity Department invited expressions of interest for rate contracts and to empanel vendors for setting up a 2,107 kW rooftop solar project with a 5,525 kWh battery storage system on government buildings in Lakshadweep. The last date to submit bids is June 4, 2026. Bids must be opened on June 5.
The Jharkhand Renewable Energy Development Agency invited bids for rate contracts to design, manufacture, supply, install, and commission 10 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects (with or without battery systems) of various capacities on government buildings. The successful bidder will also be responsible for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of the project for five years.
The Military Engineer Services floated a tender for the comprehensive O&M of a 5 MW solar project at Mhow, Madhya Pradesh, for 10 years. Bids must be submitted by June 3, 2026. Bids will be opened on June 10.
Fuel cell and electrolyzer manufacturer Bloom Energy reported revenue of $751.1 million in the first quarter of the financial year 2026, a 130.4% year-over-year increase from $326 million. Revenue exceeded analyst estimates of $529 million by 42%. Product revenue rose 208.4% to $653.3 million from $211.9 million.
Indonesia’s government-owned corporation PT PLN floated a tender to set up 1.225 GW utility-scale solar projects under its PLTS Mentari Nusantara I project. The company launched the official tender process on April 30, 2026.
