Large-scale renewable energy deployment in India is entering a phase where project capacity must be matched by transmission infrastructure, capital availability, supply chain readiness, land access, and operational coordination.

As renewable energy demand rises from industrial consumers and data centers, developers, utilities, manufacturers, and transmission companies must address execution challenges that can affect project timelines and investor confidence.

At its sixth Renewables Summit, Mercom India will bring together industry leaders to examine how grid expansion, storage integration, supply chain preparedness, land acquisition, and financing structures are aligning with India’s renewable energy capacity additions.

A panel discussion on  Renewable Energy at Scale: Aligning Capacity, Grid, and Demand” will be held at 12:05 PM on July 2, 2026, at the Hyatt Regency, New Delhi. The session will be held at Oval Hall, Lower Ground Floor.

The panel discussion will feature Vaibhav Roongta, Chief Business Officer at Rays Power Infra; Naveen Bohra, Chief Operating Officer at Goldi Solar; and Gyaneshwar Prasad Payasi, Executive Director at Power Grid Corporation of India.

The discussion will focus on the coordination required across generation, transmission, manufacturing, and project execution to support India’s clean energy targets. Speakers will assess how infrastructure readiness, domestic supply chains, capital deployment, and policy clarity can accelerate renewable energy adoption and reduce project commissioning delays.

The panelists will also share perspectives on the role of grid planning, storage deployment, financing models, and execution discipline in strengthening India’s renewable energy ecosystem. The session will provide insights into how the sector can align capacity growth with demand, grid availability, and long-term energy security.

The Summit will also feature other impactful panel discussions on policy shifts across key segments, including solar, wind, energy storage, green hydrogen, transmission, and clean energy manufacturing.

For the first time, the Summit will feature focused discussions and workshops addressing practical challenges across manufacturing, workforce development, and project procurement.

In addition to the conference program, the 2026 Summit will host the sixth Mercom India Awards and the Renewable Energy Exhibition.

The Mercom India Awards, recognized as one of the solar industry’s most prestigious accolades, will honor outstanding achievements and spotlight companies and individuals driving the sector’s growth. The awards will be presented by Minister of New and Renewable Energy Pralhad Joshi.

The Renewable Energy Exhibition will feature leading renewable energy companies showcasing solutions and services across solar, wind, energy storage, grid technologies, and other clean energy segments.
