Airports Authority Floats Maintenance Tender for 1.5 MW Rooftop Solar Project

The Airports Authority of India has invited bids for the facility management and comprehensive maintenance contract of a 1.5 MW grid-connected rooftop solar project at the Integrated Cargo Complex, Chennai Airport, for three years.
The scope of work includes the supply of all spare parts and consumables, and the repair and replacement of any defective components and equipment, as required during the contract period.
The last date to submit bids is June 11, 2026. Bids will be opened the following day.
The estimated cost of the project is ₹16.09 million (~$166,297).
Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹482,747 (~$4,989).
Bidders should have completed three similar works, each of ₹2.1 million (~$21,704), or two similar works, each of ₹2.63 million (~$27,182), or one similar work of ₹4.2 million (~$43,409) in a single contract during the last seven years.
They should have an annual average financial turnover of ₹1.86 million (~$19,223) against works executed during the last three years.
They should have a minimum net worth of ₹788,351 (~$8,148).
The successful bidder should maintain a monthly plant availability factor of 99% during the contract period. It must ensure all the systems of the solar project, including HT power evacuation and injection components, are maintained to the required system availability.
If the system components become unserviceable, timely action is to be taken for repair, rectification, and replacement, as required.
The existing online monitoring system and SCADA of the solar project should be maintained after taking over the system. The required license, accessibility, and the portal fee should be borne by the successful bidder.
The complete testing and inspection of the transformer, including winding resistance, insulation resistance, ratio test, open-circuit and short-circuit tests, magnetic balance test, and magnetizing current for all taps, should be carried out yearly.
Earlier, the Airports Authority of India floated a tender for the annual comprehensive maintenance, operation, and monitoring of a 2 MW rooftop solar power project at NSCBI Airport, Kolkata, for three years.
