The Uttar Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (UPERC) has declared the reduction in the Goods and Services Tax (GST) rate on procurement of renewable energy devices and parts, from 12% to 5%, as a ‘Change in Law’ event under the power purchase agreements (PPAs) for the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) Component-C2 solar projects.
