Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam (Urban) has issued a tender for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of a 1.492 MW grid-connected ground-mounted solar project at the Bharwara sewage treatment plant in the Lucknow district.
Bids must be submitted by December 20, 2025. Bids will be opened on December 22.
Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit of ₹378,000 (~$4,234.8) and a document fee of ₹10,000 (~$112.03) plus 18% GST.
Selected bidders must submit a performance guarantee of 10% of the contract value.
The estimated contract value is ₹18.97 million (~$212,523.57).
The O&M work will include providing all the labor, materials, tools, plants, equipment, and their transport. It also involves handling material wastages, carriage and cartage, and hoisting, setting, fitting, and fixing of the necessary components.
The duration of the O&M works is five years.
Any delay in completing the works will attract damages of 2% per month of the contract value, calculated daily on the quantum of damage suffered by the project. The damages will be capped at 10%
Bidders must have completed any of the following similar O&M works for solar projects within the previous 10 years:
- Three completed works with a minimum individual capacity of 440 kW costing at least 30% of the estimated project cost, amounting to ₹5.67 million (~$63,577.82)
- Two completed works on solar projects with minimum individual capacities of 600 kW costing at least 40% of the estimated project cost, amounting to ₹7.57 million (~$84,796.57)
- One completed work for a solar project with a minimum capacity of 900 kW costing at least 60% of the estimated project cost, amounting to ₹11.35 million (~$127,155.64)
Bidders must have an annual average turnover of at least 30% of the estimated contract value in the last three consecutive financial years. They must provide a solvency certificate of a minimum of 40% of the contract value.
Recently, NTPC invited bids for the O&M of 4 MW ground-mounted solar projects, each with a 1.25 MWh battery energy storage system, for two years at the NTPC Energy Technology Research Alliance buildings in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
