					</table><p>Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam (<a href="https://jn.upsdc.gov.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">UPJN</a>) has invited bids to commission a 10 MW grid-connected ground-mounted solar project at Bharwara STP Campus in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, on a turnkey basis.</p>
<p>The estimated project cost is ₹623.67 million (~$7.5 million).</p>
<p>The last day to submit the bids is December 26, 2023. Bids will be opened the next day.</p>
<p>Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹6.24 million (~$74,844). Selected bidders must furnish a performance bank guarantee of 10% of the estimated project cost.</p>
<p>Bidders must have completed three projects, each with a minimum of 30% capacity. Each project’s cost must constitute at least 30% of the estimated project cost. Alternatively, bidders should have completed three projects, each with a minimum capacity of 40%, and each project costing at least 40% of the estimated project cost. Bidders who have completed one project with a minimum capacity of 60%, costing at least 60% of the estimated project cost, are also eligible to bid.</p>
<p>The experience of a subsidiary or parent company in foreign countries will also be considered for qualification.</p>
<p>Bidders must have an average annual turnover of ₹187.1 million (~$2.2 million) during the last three financial years. They should have a positive net worth in the previous financial year.</p>
<p>They must submit a solvency certificate of a minimum of 40% of the project&#8217;s estimated cost.</p>
<p>Joint venture bidders should have a maximum of two members, with the lead member an Indian firm. The lead member must hold a minimum stake of 51%, while other JV members should have at least a 30% stake.</p>
<p>The lead member&#8217;s turnover and solvency should constitute at least 51% of the total required. Both members must collectively possess a minimum technical experience of 30% required for projects exceeding ₹250 million (~$3 million).</p>
<p>Earlier, the Prayagraj Division of North Central Railways <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/railways-5-5-mw-rooftop-uttar-pradesh/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids for state-wise empanelment of agencies to implement grid-connected rooftop solar projects of 5.525 MW capacity in Uttar Pradesh.</p>

Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam Invites Bids for 10 MW Solar Project in Lucknow

<p>The <a href="http://jn.upsdc.gov.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam</a> has invited bids to develop a 2 MW solar power project at the water treatment plant at Bhelpur in Varanasi. The scope of work will include the survey, investigation, supply, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of the project along with a 3,000 KVA, 0.415 kV/33 kV electric substation. The contract will also include a four-month trial and run period and a two-year defect liability period.</p>
<p>The last date for submitting the bids is October 19, 2020, and the pre-bid meeting will take place on October 09, 2020.</p>
<p>Interested bidders will have to submit an amount of ₹1.66 million (~$22,523) as the earnest money deposit (EMD). The project should be completed within a year from the commencement date, excluding the four-month trial run period followed by two years of defect liability period.</p>
<p>To participate in the competitive bidding process, the bidder should have completed one similar work costing not less than ₹99.72 million (~$1.35 million), or two works costing ₹66.48 million (~$902,032), or three similar projects costing at least ₹49.86 million (~$676,524).</p>
<p>As per the tender document, the bidder should have completed projects of at least two-third capacity of the tendered solar project, which would be 1.32 MW.</p>
<p>Similarly, the bidder should have also completed 2000 kVA of substation projects (two-third of the tendered capacity). They should have laid down at least 660 meters of high-tension cable, and should also have done SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) integration work.</p>
<p>Regarding the financial criteria, the bidder should have an average minimum annual turnover of ₹49.86 million (~$676,524) during the last three financial years. Also, the net worth of the bidder should be positive on the date of bidding.</p>
<p>According to the document, the modules&#8217; efficiency for the project should be more than 16.5% for multicrystalline and 17% for monocrystalline. The modules&#8217; fill factor should not be less than 70%, and the minimum module rating should be 325Wp.</p>
<p>According to Mercom&#8217;s <a href="https://mercomindia.com/product/india-solar-project-tracker/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">India Solar Project Tracker</a>, Uttar Pradesh has 973 MW of large-scale solar projects in operation, and about 1.7 GW capacity is currently under development.</p>
<p>Last year, the state had also <a href="https://mercomindia.com/uttar-pradesh-jal-nigam-1-8-mw-solar-tender/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">announced</a> a tender to develop a 1.8 MW solar project at a waterworks site located in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow.</p>

Bids Invited to Install a 2 MW Solar Project at a Water Treatment Unit in Varanasi

<p>The <a href="http://jn.upsdc.gov.in/">Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam</a> (UPJN), state utility managing water supply and sewerage facilities has announced a tender to develop a 1.8 MW solar project. The rooftop/ground-mounted solar project will be constructed at its third water works site located in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow.</p>
<p>The scope of work for the project includes the survey, investigation, design, supply, construction, installation, testing and commissioning of the 1.8 MW rooftop as well as ground-mounted photovoltaic project. The tender mandates a four months long trial run followed by a two-year defect liability period of the project. UPJN will be the long term owner of the project.</p>
<p>According to UPJN, this solar project is important to the Government of Uttar Pradesh and was planned in order to utilize the spare land at the organizations water treatment plant to save on power costs. The UPJN has taken up the proposed work under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (<a href="http://uptownplanning.gov.in/article/en/amrut" target="_blank" rel="noopener">AMRUT</a>). AMRUT is an initiative promoted by the UP government which aims to provide all households in the state with water supply and sewage connections, and reduce pollution.</p>
<p>The bidders are to quote rates for the complete work on turnkey basis which will be evaluated by UPJN before allocation. Selected contractors are also expected to provide operation and maintenance services for the solar project.</p>
<p>Recently, Mercom <a href="https://mercomindia.com/uttar-pradesh-solar-tender-500-mw/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> on the news of Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (<a href="http://upneda.org.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">UPNEDA</a>) announcing a tender for the development of 500 MW of grid-connected solar projects.</p>
<p><a href="https://mercomindia.com/uttar-pradesh-tender-100mw-canal-top-solar-projects/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Last year</a>, the Irrigation and Water Resource Department in the state of Uttar Pradesh had issued a tender for the development of 100 MW of grid-connected canal top solar photovoltaic projects under public private partnership model.</p>
