Telangana Invites Bids for 1.08 MW Rooftop Solar Projects

The Telangana State Renewable Energy Development Corporation (TSREDCO) has invited proposals for the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of grid-connected rooftop solar projects with a combined capacity of 1.08 MW. The projects will have to utilize Mono PERC solar modules.

Additionally, TSREDCO has invited proposals for a rooftop hybrid power project with a capacity of 40 kW, also using Mono PERC solar modules.

The last date for the submission of bids is January 8, 2024. Bids will be opened on January 9.

These initiatives fall under net metering and include a five-year comprehensive maintenance contract. The intended locations for these projects are various court complexes in the state.

The allocation of work after the selection process will be as follows:

  • The L1 Bidder will be assigned 50% of the work.
  • The L2 Bidder will be allocated 30% of the work.
  • The L3 Bidder will be assigned 20% of the work.

Bidders have to submit a bid document fee of ₹29,500 (~$354.24) and an earnest money deposit of ₹1.7 million (~$20,534.37).

The successful bidder must submit a performance security deposit amounting to 10% of the total project cost.

The selected developers must commission the projects within 40 days of receiving the letter of intent.

Bidders should have a valid registration with TSREDCO and demonstrated experience in the field of grid-connected solar systems with a cumulative capacity of at least 280 kW. This experience should cover installations at government buildings or within subsidy programs over the last three years, including the current financial year.

Bidders must have a minimum turnover of ₹50 million (~$600,460) in any one financial year.

Last year, TSREDCO invited bids to install and commission 1.14 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar systems on government buildings.
