Telangana Floats Tender to Solarize 16,840 Irrigation Pumps Under KUSUM

Telangana Renewable Energy Development Corporation (TGREDCO) has issued a tender to solarize 16,840 irrigation pumps with a total capacity of 126.3 MW under Component C of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthan Mahabhiyan (PM KUSUM) across 81 villages in the state.
Bids must be submitted by July 24, 2025. Bids will be opened on July 29.
Bidders must pay ₹118,000 (~$1,378) as a bid document fee. Successful bidders must furnish a 10% performance security deposit on the work order value.
The total capacity should be installed within 180 days from the date of the work order’s issuance.
Developers must use domestic content requirement-compliant Mono PERC solar modules. They must also provide five years of operation and maintenance service.
The work has been split into four clusters.
Bonakal Mandal Cluster
Bidders must solarize 2,838 pumps with a total capacity of 21.29 MW across 22 villages.
They must submit an earnest money deposit (EMD) of ₹20 million (~$233,582).
They must have installed 6.39 MW of grid-connected ground-mounted or rooftop solar projects, or solar pumps, during any one of the last five financial years.
Their turnover should not be less than ₹327.6 million (~$3.82 million) in any one financial year during the last five financial years.
Kodangal Mandal Cluster
Bidders must solarize 2,865 pumps with a total capacity of 21.49 MW across 34 villages.
They must submit an EMD of ₹20 million (~$233,582).
They must have installed 6.45 MW of grid-connected ground-mounted or rooftop solar projects, or solar pumps , during any one of the last five financial years.
Their turnover should not be less than ₹330.7 million (~$3.86 million) in any one financial year during the last five financial years.
TGNPDCL Mandal Cluster
Bidders must solarize 5,307 pumps with a total capacity of 39.80 MW across 15 villages.
They must submit an EMD of ₹40 million (~$467,175).
They must have installed 11.94 MW of grid-connected ground-mounted or rooftop solar projects, or solar pumps, during any one of the last five financial years.
Their turnover should not be less than ₹612.6 million (~$7.15 million) in any one financial year during the last five financial years.
TGSPDCL Mandal Cluster
Bidders must solarize 5,830 pumps with a total capacity of 43.73 MW across 10 villages.
They must submit an EMD of ₹40 million (~$467,175).
They must have installed 13.12 MW of grid-connected ground-mounted or rooftop solar projects, or solar pumps, during any one of the last five financial years.
Their turnover should not be less than ₹672.9 million (~$7.86 million) in any one financial year during the last five financial years.
In January, the Telangana government issued a draft renewable energy policy aimed at adding 51 GW of renewable capacity by the end of the financial year 2035.
