					</table><p>Here are some noteworthy cleantech announcements of the day from around the world:</p>
<p><strong>Probiotic drinks company </strong><a href="https://www.yakult.co.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Yakult Danone India</strong></a><strong> announced the commissioning of its first-ever solar project at the firm’s manufacturing facility in Haryana, India.</strong> Developed by <a href="https://sunsource-energy.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">SunSource Energy</a>, the solar project is a combination of rooftop solar, ground-mounted, and solar carport solutions. It will provide for up to 25% of the plant’s energy requirement. The project is expected to generate approximately 880,000 kWh of clean energy annually and offset 810 tons of CO2 emissions annually.</p>
<p><strong>Renewable energy company Alternergy Holdings <a href="https://www.alternergy.com/post/alternergy-shell-cement-tie-up-for-offshore-wind-venture" target="_blank" rel="noopener">partnered</a> with Shell Overseas Investment to explore offshore wind potential in the Philippines. </strong>The companies will assess the feasibility of an offshore wind project in Calavite Passage for a potential capacity of 1 GW. The site of their future offshore wind farm project and its neighboring blocks can generate up to 5 GW. Alternergy and Shell received a Wind Energy Service Contract from the Philippines Department of Energy to assess the feasibility of an offshore wind project in the Calavite Passage near Mindoro. Under the current partnership agreement, 60% equity in the Mindoro offshore wind venture is placed under Alternegy’s charge, and Shell has the balance of 40%.</p>
<p><strong>Inter-state transmission system (ISTS) project Mumbai Urja Marg (</strong><a href="https://www.mumbaiurjamarg.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>MUML</strong></a><strong>) has been included in the Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation (PRAGATI) portal.</strong> PRAGATI is an interactive platform where the prime minister’s office simultaneously monitors and reviews important government programs and projects. MUML is executed as part of Package C of the Western Region Strengthening Program – XIX. Once operational, MUML will carry more than 2 GW of additional power through an ISTS feed to the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The inclusion in PRAGATI portal is considered a major milestone for the MUML project as it will help resolve key issues and expedite the project development to commence operations by December 2023.</p>
<p><strong>Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) <a href="https://www.aiib.org/en/news-events/news/2022/AIIB-Supports-Egypts-Efforts-to-Boost-Renewable-Energy-and-Stimulate-Climate-Action.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">signed</a> a partnership agreement with Egypt to boost renewable energy and stimulate climate action through the country’s</strong> Nexus on Water, Food, and Energy (NWFE) program, with an investment of about $14.7 billion under Egypt’s National Climate Change Strategy. AIIB has committed to implementing the NWFE Energy Pillar, which is expected to mobilize at least $10 billion in investments for installing 10 GW of solar and wind energy by 2028. The initiative will also include the retirement of 5 GW of inefficient fossil fuel capacity by 2025, leading to a substantial reduction in natural gas consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, estimated at around 17 million tons of CO2 per year.</p>
<p><strong>Masdar </strong><a href="https://news.masdar.ae/en/News/2022/11/22/16/00/Masdars-First-Entry-into-Turkmenistan" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>signed</strong></a><strong> a joint development agreement with Turkmenenergo State Power Corporation to develop a 100 MW solar project in Turkmenistan</strong><strong>.</strong> The deal builds on a memorandum of understanding signed between Masdar and the Turkmenistan government in October 2021 to invest in solar and wind power projects on a public-private partnership basis. Turkmenenergo is the state authority responsible for generating, transmitting, and distributing electricity in Turkmenistan. The country is looking to modernize its energy infrastructure and reduce its dependence on hydrocarbons.</p>
<p><strong>Campbell Soup Company </strong><a href="https://www.campbellsoupcompany.com/newsroom/press-releases/campbell-enters-into-renewable-energy-agreement-with-enel-north-america-to-advance-greenhouse-gas-reduction-targets/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>inked</strong></a><strong> a 12-year virtual renewable power purchase agreement with Enel North America to purchase the electricity and the associated renewable energy credits</strong> from a 115 MW share of Enel’s Seven Cowboy wind project in Oklahoma. The contract is expected to commence in July 2023. Using the renewable electricity from the scheduled portion of the wind project, Campbell is estimated to avoid approximately 191,000 metric tons of CO2 emissions every year. The Seven Cowboy wind project will have 107 turbines expected to generate over 1.3 TWh of energy each year, equivalent to the electricity needs of over 120,000 U.S. households.</p>
