					</table><p>Bharat Heavy Electricals (<a href="https://www.bhel.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">BHEL</a>) has invited bids for the operation and maintenance (O&amp;M) of 12.5 MW of solar projects installed at its facility in Trichy, Tamil Nadu, for one year.</p>
<p>The vendor should engage maintenance personnel for the 5 MW and 7.5 MW solar projects to carry out solar panel cleaning, vegetation removal, outer yard HT maintenance, and transformer oil filtration works for one year.</p>
<p>The last date to submit the bids is February 21, 2023. Bids will be opened on the same day.</p>
<p>Bidders will have to submit ₹51,462 (~$624) as an earnest money deposit. The successful bidder must submit an amount equivalent to 5% of the contract value as a security deposit within 15 days of the bid&#8217;s acceptance.</p>
<p>Only vendors with an electrical license issued by the state government will be eligible to participate in the bidding.</p>
<p>Bidders should have a minimum of one year of experience in carrying out annual maintenance works of a solar power project of 1 MW or higher capacity in the past ten years.</p>
<p>In case of delays, 0.5% of the line item value will be deducted from the bill or recovered from the security deposit for each day of delay as liquidated damages, subject to a ceiling of 10% of the contract value.</p>
<p>Purchase preference will be given to micro and small enterprises (MSEs). If the lowest bidder (L-1) is not an MSE and the MSE service provider has quoted a price within L-1+ 15% of margin, then 100% order quantity will be awarded to such MSE bidder subject to acceptance of the L1 bid price.</p>
<p>The contractor should supervise the execution of the contract or appoint an agent acceptable to BHEL officials.</p>
<p>The contractor will be responsible for providing for all precautions to prevent loss or damage from all risks and to minimize the amount of any such loss or damage.</p>
<p>Recently, BHEL <a href="https://mercomindia.com/bhel-om-tender-5-mw-solar-project-tamil-nadu/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids for O&amp;M of a 5 MW solar power project at its facility in Ranipet, Tamil Nadu.</p>
<p>Earlier, BHEL had <a href="https://mercomindia.com/bhel-om-tender-5-mw-solar-project-haridwar/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids for O&amp;M of a 5 MW solar power project at its heavy electrical equipment plant in Haridwar, Uttarakhand.</p>
<p>According to Mercom’s <a href="https://mercomindia.com/product/india-solar-tender-tracker/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">India Solar Tender Tracker</a>, BHEL has so far floated O&amp;M tenders for 1,007 MW of solar power projects.</p>
