					</table><p>Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers (<a href="https://www.tnpl.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">TNPL</a>) has invited bids to install 2.2 MW of grid-connected captive rooftop solar projects under the CAPEX model atop its buildings.</p>
<p>The project should be completed 90 days from the date of site clearance. The developer must provide comprehensive operational and maintenance for five years.</p>
<p>The last day to submit the bids is May 31, 2023.</p>
<p>The first system of 1.1 MW must be set up in TNPL&#8217;s Karur paper plant, which has an average solar irradiance of 5.60 W/sq.m. The second one will be installed in the Trichy plant, which has an average solar irradiance of 5.56 W/sq.m.</p>
<p>The comprehensive maintenance must cover preventive maintenance service, troubleshooting visits, and replacement of spares required for the efficient running of the project.</p>
<p>The power generated from the system will be integrated with the existing electrical system of TNPL with the necessary inter-phasing equipment.</p>
<p>Separate metering arrangements must be arranged for each rooftop system, and energy meters must be installed for each building.</p>
<p>The DC power generated from the system will be converted into three-phase AC power using inverters, and AC power at 415V level will be transmitted to the LT control panels available in the same building.</p>
<p>Any surplus solar power will be transmitted to the nearest LT loads to minimize line losses.</p>
<p>The solar modules used for the project must be from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy&#8217;s Approved List of Models and Manufacturers and have a minimum capacity of 250 Wp. The module efficiency should also be at least 16%.</p>
<p>The Tamil Nadu Cooperative Milk Producers&#8217; Federation recently <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/soltec-profit-surges-2022" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids to procure 30 MW of solar, wind, or surplus power from producers through an open access arrangement for five years.</p>
