<p><strong>CleanPeak Energy, an Australia-based renewables developer and operator, has </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/cleanpeak-energy-raises-328m-kkr-distributed-energy-platform/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>signed</strong></a><strong> a definitive agreement with KKR, a global investment firm, under which funds managed by KKR commit A$500 million (~$328 million) in funding. </strong>The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2025, subject to customary regulatory approvals. This funding is expected to support the growth and development of a pipeline of distributed solar, battery storage, and microgrid solutions for Australia’s commercial and industrial sector.</p>
<p><strong>NOVONIX, a battery materials and technology provider, </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/novonix-secures-up-to-95-million-through-convertible-notes-agreement/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>entered</strong></a><strong> into a definitive funding agreement with Yorkville Advisors Global to secure up to $95 million</strong>. In exchange, the company is expected to issue up to $100 million of its unsecured convertible debentures to Yorkville under the terms of a multi-tranche funding agreement. These convertible notes are expected to provide the company with additional capital to continue building its Riverside facility in Chattanooga, Tennessee.</p>
<p><strong>Lyten, a lithium-sulfur battery developer, has <a href="https://mercomcapital.com/lyten-raises-over-200-million-in-equity-funding/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">secured</a> over $200 million in additional equity investment, </strong>bringing the total investment in Lyten to date to over $625 million. The company&#8217;s existing investors primarily provided additional funding. The funding will be used to support the company’s ongoing acquisition strategy and expansion plans in both the U.S. and Europe. Additionally, the company has acquired the rights to Northvolt&#8217;s energy storage products, Voltpack Mobile Systems, Voltrack, and future BESS products currently in development.<strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>Treaty Oak Clean Energy, an independent power producer, <a href="https://mercomcapital.com/treaty-oak-clean-energy-secures-300-million-corporate-credit-facility/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> the closing of a $300 million senior secured corporate credit facility</strong>. Proceeds from funding will support the company&#8217;s strategic growth objectives, providing essential capital for interconnection and offtake letters of credit, equipment procurement, and general corporate expenses to advance its project pipeline. Treaty Oak is a Macquarie Asset Management portfolio company, operating on a stand-alone basis with a pipeline that includes 17.3 GW of utility-scale solar, wind, and BESS projects diversified across the major power markets within the U.S.</p>

<p><strong>Opdenergy, an independent renewable energy producer, has </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/opdenergy-secures-412-million-corporate-debt-facility/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>secured</strong></a><strong> a new corporate debt facility of €350 million (~$412 million)</strong> through senior bonds (2025 Bonds) from a group of institutional investors led by EIG and Infranity. The corporate debt facility will provide additional capital to accelerate the execution of Opdenergy’s business plan, strengthen its position in the renewable energy market, and support its continued expansion as a large-scale Independent Power Producer across Europe, the U.S., and Latin America.</p>
<p><strong>Lyten, a lithium-sulfur battery developer, </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/lyten-acquires-battery-manufacturing-operation-from-northvolt/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>announced</strong></a><strong> the acquisition of Dwa Energy Storage System manufacturing operation in Gdansk, Poland, from energy storage solutions provider Northvolt</strong>. The financial terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed by either party and are expected to close in Q3 2025. The deal includes a 270,000 sq ft manufacturing and R&amp;D facility, which is said to be one of the largest battery manufacturing facilities in Europe, and was part of Northvolt Systems.</p>
<p><strong>ILJIN Electronics, a material subsidiary of Amber Group, has <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/il-jin-electronics-forays-into-bess-buys-majority-stake-in-power-one" target="_blank" rel="noopener">entered</a> into definitive agreements for a majority stake in India-based Power One Micro Systems.</strong> Power-One offers battery energy storage systems (BESS), solar inverters (on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid), electric vehicle charging solutions, and uninterrupted power supply solutions. The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.</p>
<p><strong>Solar water pump and motor manufacturer Shakti Pumps has </strong><a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/shakti-pumps-qualified-institutional-placement" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>raised</strong></a><strong> ₹2.92 billion (~$34.07 million) through a qualified institutions placement (QIP) of shares.</strong> The QIP issue was priced at ₹918 (~$11) per share, a 4.97% discount to the Securities and Exchange Board of India floor price of ₹965.96 (~$11.3). The proceeds from the QIP will be utilized to establish a solar cell and module manufacturing facility in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh, through the company’s subsidiary, Shakti Energy Solutions.</p>
<p><strong>The Green Climate Fund (GCF) has </strong><a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/gcf-200-million-adb-india-clean-energy-program" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>approved</strong></a><strong> $200 million (~₹17.07 billion) for a new program led by the Asian Development Bank (ADB)</strong> to enhance large-scale public and private investments in India’s high-impact and emerging clean energy sectors. This funding is ADB’s first partnership with GCF in India. GCF will provide the concessional funding for ADB’s India Green Finance Facility.</p>

Lyten will lease Cuberg’s 119,000-square-foot facility, which includes manufacturing, office, and warehouse space. It will also acquire battery cell development and manufacturing equipment and make additional equipment investments to expand the facility’s capacity.</p>
<p><strong>Sympower, a provider of electrical grid monitoring management software solutions, has </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/sympower-raises-23-million-in-series-b1-funding/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>raised</strong></a><strong> €21.3 million (~$23 million) in oversubscribed Series B1 funding</strong>. The funding round was led by A&amp;G Energy Transition Tech Fund, an independent financial services group based in Spain with direct investment from the European Investment Fund. With this funding, the company plans to roll out solutions for grid stability for battery energy storage systems.</p>
<p><strong>Ion Storage Systems (ION), a manufacturer of high energy density and solid-state lithium metal batteries, </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/ion-storage-systems-secures-10-million-debt-financing/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>secured</strong></a><strong> $10 million in debt funding from Leonid Capital Partners</strong>, an investment firm that provides non-dilutive, debt-based investments. The company will use this funding to expand its solid-state battery technology.</p>
<p><strong>Bord Gáis Energy, an Ireland-based energy supplier and services provider, <a href="https://mercomcapital.com/bord-gais-energy-acquires-solar-pv-installer/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> the acquisition of Swyft Energy, a solar photovoltaic installer in Ireland</strong>. The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed. The transaction is subject to approval by the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission. This acquisition enables Bord Gáis Energy to cater to residential, business, and farming customers as it transitions to a green energy business.</p>
