					</table><p>Gujarat Industries Power Company (<a href="https://www.gipcl.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">GIPCL</a>) has invited bids for engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), and operations and maintenance (O&amp;M) for three years of a 75 MW grid-connected solar project near its Surat Lignite Power Plant.</p>
<p>The last date to submit bids is March 13, 2024.</p>
<p>The scope of work includes the development of the solar project along with associated power evacuation equipment to provide grid connectivity to <a href="https://www.getcogujarat.com/getco_newsite/index.php" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation</a>’s 66 kV substation in a nearby village. GIPCL will provide 133 hectares of land near the lignite power plant.</p>
<p>The project’s expected commissioning date will be 330 days from the issuance of the letter of intent.</p>
<p>Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹30 million (~$361,600). The security deposit and performance bank guarantee will be equivalent to 10% of the EPC cost, while the O&amp;M bank guarantee will be equivalent to 5% of the EPC cost.</p>
<p>The average annual turnover of the bidders for the last three financial years should be a minimum of ₹2 billion (~$24 million), and the net worth for the last financial year must be positive.</p>
<p>Bidders must have experience in constructing and commissioning solar projects with a cumulative installed capacity of 40 MW or higher. Out of this, at least one project should have a capacity of 10 MW or higher capacity and be operational for at least six months before the bid opening date.</p>
<p>GIPCL also <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/gujarat-epc-land-500-mw-solar">invited</a> bids for an EPC package with land for up to 500 MW of solar power projects anywhere in Gujarat.</p>
<p>In September, GIPCL <a href="https://cms.mercomindia.com/gujarat-epc-land-500-mw-solar/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids for the supply of 750 MW of bifacial solar modules with a minimum wattage output of 540 Wp for a 600 MW solar power project at the Khavda Renewable Energy Park in Gujarat.</p>
