					</table><p><a href="https://ntpcrel.co.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">NTPC Renewable Energy</a>, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC, has invited bids for the supply of 1.58 GW of crystalline solar bifacial modules with a minimum wattage output of 540 Wp for 1,255 MW projects at the Khavda Solar Park in the Kutch district of Gujarat.</p>
<p>The modules will be supplied under the domestic content requirement (DCR) category.</p>
<p>The last date to submit the bids is October 11, 2023. Bids will be opened on the same day.</p>
<p>The bidders can quote the bid supply capacities as per the following blocks:</p>
<ul>
<li>Block-1: 391.50 MW</li>
<li>Block-2: 397.70 MW</li>
<li>Block-3: 397.70 MW</li>
<li>Block-4: 397.70 MW</li>
</ul>
<p>Bidders must submit ₹200 million (~$2.42 million) as a bid security deposit for quoting a single block or two blocks and ₹500 million (~$6.05 million) for quoting three blocks or four blocks.</p>
<p>Bidders should have supplied solar modules or cells of a cumulative capacity of 40 MW or above, out of which at least one supply order should have been of 10 MW or above capacity before the bid opening date.</p>
<p>Also, the required average financial turnover of bidders for any three of the last five financial years will be calculated as follows: ₹0.456 (~$0.006)  x total Quoted Capacity in MW.</p>
<p>In case the bidder does not satisfy the annual turnover criteria on its own, its holding company would be required to meet the stipulated turnover requirements provided that the net worth of such holding company as on the last day of the preceding financial year is at least equal to or more than the paid-up share capital of the holding company.</p>
<p>The net worth of bidders as of the last day of the preceding financial year should not be less than 100% of the bidder’s paid-up share capital.</p>
<p>According to tender documents, any bidder from a country that shares a land border with India will be eligible to bid in this tender only if the bidder is registered with the competent authority.</p>
<p>In June this year, NTPC Renewable Energy <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/ntpc-floats-bos-tender-solar-projects-gujarat" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids for the balance of system (BoS) package for 1,255 MW (3*315 MW+1*310 MW) of solar projects at the Khavda Renewable Park in the Kutch district of Gujarat.</p>
<p>Earlier, NTPC Renewable Energy had <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/ntpc-cable-supply-tender-solar-gujarat" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids for an HT power cable supply package for a 1,255 MW solar block of Khavda Renewable Energy Park in Gujarat.</p>

<p>The developers can avail of a greenshoe option of an additional 800 MW.</p>
<p>KPI Energy bagged 100 MW by quoting ₹2.70 (~$0.033)/kWh. SAEL Industries and NLC India won 400 MW and 300 MW by quoting ₹2.71 (~$0.033)/kWh each.</p>

<p>The tender was <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/guvnl-bids-800-mw-solar-projects-greenshoe-option" target="_blank" rel="noopener">floated</a> in May this year.</p>
<p>GUVNL will enter into a power purchase agreement (PPA) with successful bidders for 25 years from the scheduled commercial operation date of the project.</p>
<p>The project should be designed to deliver energy at the Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation (GETCO) periphery. The successful bidder will be responsible for getting the grid connectivity with GETCO or the central transmission utility.</p>
<p>The projects&#8217; declared annual capacity utilization factor (CUF) should not be less than 17%. The successful bidder should maintain generation to achieve annual CUF within + 10% and -15% of the declared value till the end of ten years from the commercial operation date, subject to the annual CUF remaining a minimum of 15% of the declared annual CUF after that until the end of 25 years.</p>
<p>The solar modules to be used in the projects should be from the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.</p>
<p>Also, the solar modules must be warranted for peak output wattage, which should not be less than 90% at the end of ten years and 80% at the end of 25 years from the project’s commercial operation date.</p>
<p>GUVNL recently <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/renew-solarcraft-mahindra-susten-avaada-guvnls-500-mw-auction" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> the winners of its auction for 500 MW of grid-connected solar power projects (Phase XIX). The winning bid in the auction was ₹2.71 (~$0.0329)/kWh.</p>
<p>According to Mercom’s <a href="https://mercomindia.com/product/india-solar-tender-tracker/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">India Solar Tender Tracker</a>, GUVNL has so far floated tenders for 12.8 GW of solar projects and auctioned 8.35 GW of solar power projects.</p>

					</table><p>Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (<a href="https://www.guvnl.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">GUVNL</a>) has invited bids for 800 MW of grid-connected solar projects (Phase XX) at the Khavda Solar Park in Gujarat with a greenshoe option of an additional capacity of 800 MW.</p>
<p>The last day to submit the bids is June 15, 2023. Bids will be opened on June 19.</p>
<p>Bidders must submit a bid processing fee of ₹300,000 (~$3,621) plus 18% GST and ₹400,000 (~$4,828)/MW as an earnest money deposit.</p>
<p>The successful bidder will have to furnish ₹800,000 (~$9,656)/MW as a performance bank guarantee after issuing the letter of intent and before signing the power purchase agreement (PPA).</p>
<p>GUVNL will enter into a PPA with successful bidders for 25 years from the scheduled commercial operation date of the project.</p>
<p>Bidders will be allowed to bid for a minimum of 100 MW capacity and in multiples of 100 MW only.</p>
<p>The net worth of bidders should not be less than ₹8 million (~$96,564)/MW of the capacity quoted.</p>
<p>The project should be designed to deliver energy at the Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation (GETCO) periphery. The successful bidder will be responsible for getting the grid connectivity with GETCO or the central transmission utility.</p>
<p>The developer must pay all expenses, including transmission and wheeling charges and losses between the project and the delivery point, without any reimbursement by GUVNL. All expenses, including wheeling charges and losses about the transmission and distribution beyond the delivery point, will be borne by GUVNL.</p>
<p>The declared annual capacity utilization factor (CUF) should not be less than 17%. The successful bidder should maintain generation to achieve annual CUF within + 10% and -15% of the declared value till the end of ten years from the commercial operation date, subject to the annual CUF remaining a minimum of 15% of the declared annual CUF after that until the end of 25 years.</p>
<p>The solar modules to be used in the solar power projects must be warranted for peak output wattage, which should not be less than 90% at the end of ten years and 80% at the end of 25 years from the project&#8217;s commercial operation date.</p>
<p>Only commercially established and operational technologies can be used for the projects to minimize the technology risk and to achieve the timely commissioning of the projects.</p>
<p>Also, solar modules to be used in the projects should be from the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.</p>
<p>Any bidder from a country that shares a land border with India will be eligible to bid on this tender.</p>
<p>NHPC, SJVN Green Energy, and NTPC Renewable Energy <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/nhpc-sjvn-ntpc-winners-in-guvnls-600-mw-solar-auction" target="_blank" rel="noopener">won</a> Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam&#8217;s auction to supply power from 600 MW of grid-connected solar power projects (Phase XVII) at the Khavda Solar Park in Gujarat.</p>
<p>According to Mercom&#8217;s <a href="https://mercomindia.com/product/india-solar-tender-tracker/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">India Solar Tender Tracker</a>, GUVNL has floated tenders for 12.3 GW of solar projects.</p>

GUVNL Invites Bids for 800 MW Solar Projects with Greenshoe Option

					</table><p><a href="https://www.gailonline.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">GAIL (India)</a> has invited bids for the design, supply, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning of 600 MW (6 x 100 MW) of solar power projects at the Khavda Solar Park in the Kutch region of Gujarat.</p>
<p>The successful bidder will also undertake the project&#8217;s operation and maintenance (O&amp;M) for ten years.</p>
<p>Only vendors empaneled by GAIL are allowed to participate in this tender. The contractors must commission each of these projects within 15 months of signing the agreement.</p>
<p>The last date to submit the bids is December 7, 2022. Bids will be opened the following day.</p>
<p>Bidders will have to submit ₹2.5 million (~$30,778) as an earnest money deposit.</p>
<p>The successful bidder will have to furnish an amount equivalent to 3% of the contract value as a contract performance security.</p>
<p>The successful bidder should submit a bank guarantee of ₹1 million (~$12,315)/MW of DC capacity. The solar modules issued by the manufacturer in favor of GAIL should be valid for 25 years and 90 days.</p>
<p>The solar modules should have a performance warranty to deliver more than 90% during the first ten years and more than 80% during the next 15 years. Further, the modules should have a performance warranty above 98% during the first year of installation.</p>
<p>The degradation of solar modules for the first year should be limited to 2.5 % for polycrystalline modules and 3% for monocrystalline modules. It should not be more than 0.7% in any subsequent year for polycrystalline and monocrystalline modules.</p>
<p>If the bidder anticipates any degradation of the modules more than the allowed limit during the first year and any other subsequent years, they will have to provide an additional capacity of modules to help meet guaranteed generation during the entire O&amp;M period to avoid liquidated damages.</p>
<p>In August this year, GAIL <a href="https://mercomindia.com/gail-project-management-10-mw-solar/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids to hire a project management consultant (PMC) to set up a 10 MW ground-mounted solar power project at GAIL’s Vijaipur Complex in the Guna District of Madhya Pradesh.</p>
<p>Earlier, GAIL had <a href="https://mercomindia.com/gail-empanel-solar-epc-om-service/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">issued</a> a notice to empanel solar engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractors and operation and maintenance (O&amp;M) service providers.</p>

The successful bidder will have to furnish ₹944,000 (~$11,560)/MW as a performance bank guarantee after the issuance of the letter of intent and before signing the power purchase agreement (PPA).</p>
<p>GUVNL will enter into a PPA with successful bidders for 25 years from the scheduled commercial operation date of the project.</p>
<p>Only commercially established and operational technologies can be used for the projects to minimize the technology risk and to achieve the timely commissioning of the projects.</p>
<p>Bidders will be allowed to place a bid for a minimum of 100 MW capacity and in multiples of 100 MW only.</p>
<p>The net worth of bidders should not be less than ₹8 million (~$97,968)/MW of the capacity quoted.</p>
<p>The project should be designed to deliver energy at the 400/765 kV substation of the central transmission utility (CTU) at Khavda, i.e., at the CTU periphery through 33/400 KV internal pooling substation of the solar park to be developed by the developer.</p>
<p>All expenses, including transmission and wheeling charges and losses between the project and the delivery point, will be paid by the successful bidder without any reimbursement by GUVNL. All expenses, including wheeling charges and losses in relation to the transmission and distribution beyond the delivery point, will be borne by GUVNL.</p>
<p>The declared annual capacity utilization factor (CUF) should not be less than 17%. The successful bidder should maintain generation to achieve annual CUF within + 10% and -15% of the declared value till the end of ten years from the commercial operation date, subject to the annual CUF remaining a minimum of 15% of the declared annual CUF after that until the end of 25 years.</p>
<p>The solar modules to be used in the solar power projects must be warranted for peak output wattage, which should not be less than 90% at the end of ten years and 80% at the end of 25 years from the commercial operation date of the project.</p>
<div>The modules to be used for the project should be from the approved list of models and manufacturers (ALMM) issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE).</div>

<p>In July this year, GUVNL <a href="https://mercomindia.com/gujarat-750-mw-solar-tender-greenshoe-option/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids to procure power from 750 MW of grid-connected solar projects (Phase XVI) with a greenshoe option of an additional capacity of up to 750 MW.</p>
<p>Earlier, GUVNL had <a href="https://mercomindia.com/guvnl-rfs-to-buy-power-from-500-mw-solar-projects-with-greenshoe-option/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">issued</a> a request for selection (RfS) from developers to purchase power from 500 MW of solar projects under Phase XIV with a greenshoe option of an additional capacity of up to 500 MW.</p>
<p>According to Mercom’s <a href="https://mercomindia.com/product/india-solar-tender-tracker/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">India Solar Tender Tracker</a>, GUVNL has so far floated tenders for 8.15 GW of solar projects.</p>

GUVNL Invites Bids for 600 MW Solar Projects With Additional Greenshoe Option

					</table><p><a href="https://www.sterlingandwilsonre.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy</a> has emerged as the lowest (L1) bidder for the balance of system (BoS) package comprising four blocks of the proposed 1,255 MW of solar power projects being developed by NTPC Renewable Energy at the Khavda Renewable Park in the Kutch area of Gujarat.</p>
<p>The total contract value, including three years of operation and maintenance (O&amp;M), is about ₹22 billion (~$275.41 million).</p>
<p>The formal letter of intent and the signing of contracts will take place in due course of time.</p>
<p>In June this year, NTPC Renewable Energy <a href="https://mercomindia.com/ntpc-floats-bos-tender-solar-projects-gujarat/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids for the BoS package for 1,255 MW (3*315 MW+1*310 MW) of solar projects at the Khavda Renewable Park. The scope of work includes the design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, packing and forwarding, transportation, unloading, storage, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar power projects, excluding the supply of solar modules.</p>
<p>The successful bidder will also be responsible for designing and constructing the foundation and erection of module mounting structures with a tracker-based technology for the solar panels, including fixing the modules on the tracker and solar modules interconnection.</p>
<p>Earlier, NTPC Renewable Energy had <a href="https://mercomindia.com/ntpc-issues-balance-system-tender/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids for a BoS package for 325 MW of solar projects located at Shajapur Solar Park in Madhya Pradesh.</p>
<p>Sterling and Wilson <a href="https://mercomindia.com/top-utility-scale-solar-epc-2021/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">emerged</a> as one of the top engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) service-providing companies in Mercom’s <a href="https://mercomindia.com/product/mercoms-india-solar-market-leaderboard-2022-market-shares-and-profiles/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">India Solar Market Leaderboard 2021</a>. Sterling and Wilson led the segment with a market share of 12%.</p>
<p>In February this year, Reliance New Energy Solar, the green energy arm of  Reliance Industries, <a href="https://mercomindia.com/reliance-completes-acquisition-sterling-wilson/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">completed</a> the 40% stake acquisition in Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy. Reliance acquired the stake through a primary investment, a secondary purchase, and an open offer. In October 2021, Reliance made an open offer for a 25.9% public shareholding in Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy.</p>
