					</table><p><a href="https://jalnamahaulb.maharashtra.gov.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jalna Municipal Council</a> invited bids for the design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a 1 MW grid-connected rooftop solar power plant with net metering for the Jalna water treatment plant at Ambad in Maharashtra.</p>
<p>The developer will also be responsible for the comprehensive maintenance of the plant for five years, including the free replacement of defective components of systems.</p>
<p>The last date to submit the bids is September 30, 2022. Bids will be opened on October 3, 2022.</p>
<p>The estimated cost of the solar power plant is ₹49.9 million (~$625,460).</p>
<p>Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit of ₹500,000 (~$6,260). The selected bidders must pay a security deposit equivalent to 2% of the contract value from the date of issue of the bid acceptance letter.</p>
<p>Installers must ensure that the rooftop solar power plant is commissioned with net metering connectivity within 180 days from the issue of the work order.</p>
<p>If they do not complete the work on time, a penalty of ₹1,000 (~$12.52) per day, going up to a maximum of 10% of the total cost of the systems, will apply.</p>
<p>The solar photovoltaic modules used in power plant must be guaranteed for their output peak watt capacity, which should not be less than 90% at the end of 12 years and 80% at the end of 25 years.</p>
<p>Bidders must have experience in manufacturing, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of grid-connected solar systems of 650 kWp in a single order. They must also have cumulatively set up more than 2 MWp of grid-connected solar systems.</p>
<p>Bidders must have an annual turnover of a minimum of ₹200 million (~$2.5 million) during the last three financial years, i.e., 2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-22.</p>
<p>In June this year, the Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA) <a href="https://mercomindia.com/bids-to-install-10-mw-rooftop-solar-maharashtra/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">issued</a> an expression of interest to discover a tariff to implement 10 MW grid-connected rooftop solar photovoltaic systems on government buildings at various locations in Maharashtra.</p>
