Jalna Municipal Council invited bids for the design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a 1 MW grid-connected rooftop solar power plant with net metering for the Jalna water treatment plant at Ambad in Maharashtra.

The developer will also be responsible for the comprehensive maintenance of the plant for five years, including the free replacement of defective components of systems.

The last date to submit the bids is September 30, 2022. Bids will be opened on October 3, 2022.

The estimated cost of the solar power plant is ₹49.9 million (~$625,460).

Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit of ₹500,000 (~$6,260). The selected bidders must pay a security deposit equivalent to 2% of the contract value from the date of issue of the bid acceptance letter.

Installers must ensure that the rooftop solar power plant is commissioned with net metering connectivity within 180 days from the issue of the work order.

If they do not complete the work on time, a penalty of ₹1,000 (~$12.52) per day, going up to a maximum of 10% of the total cost of the systems, will apply.

The solar photovoltaic modules used in power plant must be guaranteed for their output peak watt capacity, which should not be less than 90% at the end of 12 years and 80% at the end of 25 years.

Bidders must have experience in manufacturing, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of grid-connected solar systems of 650 kWp in a single order. They must also have cumulatively set up more than 2 MWp of grid-connected solar systems.

Bidders must have an annual turnover of a minimum of ₹200 million (~$2.5 million) during the last three financial years, i.e., 2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-22.

In June this year, the Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA) issued an expression of interest to discover a tariff to implement 10 MW grid-connected rooftop solar photovoltaic systems on government buildings at various locations in Maharashtra.
