<p>The Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (<a href="http://www.bhel.com/index.php/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">BHEL</a>) has invited bids for the balance of system works for 100 MW (AC) of grid-connected floating solar power projects for the National Thermal Power Corporation (<a href="https://www.ntpc.co.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">NTPC</a>) at its Ramagundam power project in Telangana.</p>
<p>The estimated cost of the project is ₹175.5 million (~$2.31 million), and the interested bidders will have to submit an amount of ₹2.755 million (~$36,277) as the earnest money deposit (EMD). The last date for the submission of bids is April 27, 2020.</p>
<p>To take part in the bidding process, the bidder should have executed similar projects in the last ten years. He should have executed one similar work of at least ₹60 million (~$790,075), or two similar works of ₹40 million (~$526,717) each, or three similar works of ₹30 million (~$395,038) each.</p>
<p>The bidder should have experience in the execution of land-mounted or rooftop solar power projects for at least 10 MW or should have successfully executed work for floating solar projects of at least 100 kW capacity. Similarly, the bidder should have experience in the field of a reservoir, lake, river water activity or any other waterworks such as dredging, silt removal, or pipe laying works, or works in the water reservoirs of thermal projects.</p>
<p>Regarding the financial criteria, the average annual turnover of the bidder during the last three years should be ₹52.65 million (~$693,291).</p>
<p>In February this year, BHEL <a href="https://mercomindia.com/bhel-seeks-contractors-100-mw-floating-solar-project-telangana/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">issued</a> a notice inviting tender for contractors to set up a 100 MW (AC) floating solar project for NTPC at Ramagundam in the Peddapeli district of Telangana.</p>
<p>Earlier, BHEL also <a href="https://mercomindia.com/bhel-floats-tender-ntpc-solar-project-andhra-pradesh/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">floated</a> a tender for the operation and maintenance (O&amp;M) of a 50 MW solar project in Andhra Pradesh. The project belongs to NTPC and is located at NP Kunta, Kadiri, in Ananthapur district of Andhra Pradesh. The contract will be valid for 20 months.</p>
<p>Previously, Mercom had reported that BHEL had <a href="https://mercomindia.com/bhel-seeks-vendors-solar-flotation-project/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">floated</a> a tender for the design and supply of a solar floatation platform of 22 MW capacity at the Rajiv Gandhi Combined Cycle Power Project at Kayamkulam in Kerala.</p>
