<p><strong>Renewable Power Capital, a pan-European renewables company, </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/renewable-power-capital-acquires-1-9-gw-solar-and-wind-project-portfolio/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>announced</strong></a><strong> the acquisition of the Swedish and Finnish solar and onshore wind development business of Njordr AS</strong>, the Nordic renewable power subsidiary of Vanir Green Industries AS. The acquisition comprises 22 early-stage onshore wind and solar projects totaling up to 1.9 GW of capacity. With this transaction, Renewable Power Capital aims to gain Njordr’s expertise in project development.</p>
<p><strong>Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC), a UAE-based renewable energy developer, </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/masdar-acquires-234-mw-valle-solar-project-in-spain/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>announced</strong></a><strong> the acquisition of the 234 MW Valle Solar Project</strong>. The acquisition was made through its Iberian renewables subsidiary, Saeta Yield. The project, located in Spain’s Valencia region, has the potential to feature 259 MW of battery energy storage systems. The project is expected to be operational in the first half of 2027.</p>
<p><strong>Enlight Renewable Energy, a renewable energy project developer, has <a href="https://mercomcapital.com/enlight-secures-773-million-financing-solar-and-storage-project/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">secured</a> a debt financing package that includes $773 million in construction loans</strong> for developing the Country Acres project, located near Sacramento, California. The project consists of 403 MW of solar and 688 MWh of energy storage systems. The project is expected to reach full commercial operation during the second half of 2026.</p>
<p><strong>Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC), a UAE-based renewable energy project developer, </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/masdar-to-acquire-49-99-stake-in-four-solar-projects-in-spain/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>announced</strong></a><strong> the signing of an agreement with Endesa</strong>, a Spanish multinational electric utility company, to acquire a 49.99% stake in four solar projects in Spain totaling 446 MW in capacity. The transaction has an enterprise value of €368 million (~$397.88 million). The acquisition is subject to regulatory approvals and other conditions. Masdar will invest €184 million (~$198.94 million) in the projects.</p>

<p><strong>Enlight Renewable Energy, a renewable energy project developer, </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/enlight-secures-financing-solar-storage-project/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>announced</strong></a><strong> the closing of $550 million debt financing for the project Roadrunner</strong>, located in the Sulphur Springs Valley region near Tuscon, Arizona. The project, also known as Apache Solar II, consists of 200 MW of solar and 940 MWh of energy storage capacity. The construction at the project site has already begun, and the project is expected to reach commercial operation by the end of 2025.</p>
<p><strong>Kavram Enerji, a subsidiary of Türkiye-based renewable energy developer Fiba Yenilenebilir Enerji Holding (Fiba Renewables), </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/fiba-renewables-secures-42-million-loan-from-ebrd-in-turkiye/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>secured</strong></a><strong> a $42 million (€39.7 million) loan</strong> from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development to develop hybrid solar projects in the country. The portfolio includes a 55 MW hybrid solar project in Isparta and a 20 MW hybrid solar project in Balikesir. Once operational, the projects are expected to reduce carbon emissions of the Turkish power system by around 37,000 tons per year.</p>
<p><strong>Econergy, an independent renewable energy power producer, <a href="https://mercomcapital.com/econergy-secures-40-million-financing-for-92-mw-solar-project-in-romania/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> the </strong>signing<strong> of a project financing agreement valued at approximately €38 million (~$39.61 million)</strong> with Raiffeisen Bank International AG. The funding will be used to repay loans provided by related parties for the acquisition, development, and construction of the 92 MW Parau solar project in Romania, which became operational earlier this year. The loan includes a maturity of up to 10.5 years, structured repayments, and a balloon payment at final maturity, with an interest rate linked to the six-month EURIBOR at a competitive margin.</p>
<p><strong>ACME Renewtech, a subsidiary of solar energy company ACME Solar Holdings, has </strong><a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/acme-renewtech-wind-solar-hybrid-project" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>secured </strong></a><strong> ₹19.88 billion (~$232.3 million) in term loan financing</strong> from the Power Finance Corporation to fund a 300 MW solar-wind hybrid project. The project’s solar component will be in Bikaner, Rajasthan, and the wind sites in Bhuj, Gujarat. The project is set to begin commercial operations by June 30, 2025. The project will utilize the interstate transmission system charges waiver.</p>
<p><strong>Nordic Solar, a Denmark-based developer and owner of solar projects, </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/nordic-solar-sells-2-8-mw-solar-project-in-france/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>announced</strong></a><strong> the signing of a share purchase agreement for the 2.8 MW Montmayon solar project</strong> in France. The company sold the project to an undisclosed acquirer. The financial terms of the acquisition remained undisclosed. The transaction is Nordic Solar’s first in France. In addition, the company is planning to divest its other solar projects in the near future. In 2024, it sold three projects, the highest number of divestments completed in a single year by the company so far.</p>

<p><strong>ORLEN Wind 3, a subsidiary of the ORLEN Group, </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/orlen-group-to-acquire-280-mw-solar-project-portfolio-in-poland/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>entered</strong></a><strong> into a preliminary agreement with EDP Renewables Polska, a renewable energy project developer</strong>, to acquire two solar projects with a total capacity of 280 MW located in the provinces of Zielona Góra and Poznań in Poland. The company will also acquire a 26 MW wind project in the province of Łódź. The transaction is valued at approximately PLN 1.15 billion (~$0.29 billion).</p>
<p><strong>OX2, a solar and energy storage project developer, </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/ox2-sells-energy-storage-project-in-finland/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>signed</strong></a><strong> an agreement to sell the ready-to-build 50 MW/110 MWh Uusnivala battery energy storage project</strong> to the L&amp;G NTR Clean Power Fund, which will manage the project’s construction. NTR, a renewable energy asset manager, completed the transaction on behalf of the fund.</p>
<p><strong>FRV Australia, a renewable energy project developer and part of Jameel Energy and the Canadian infrastructure fund OMERS, </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/frv-australia-secures-785-million-refinancing-for-solar-portfolio/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>secured</strong></a><strong> A$1.2 billion (~$0.785 billion) in refinancing</strong> for its solar project portfolio, which has a total installed capacity close to 1 GW. The portfolio consists of eight solar projects in operation or under construction. The debt package includes a term loan that refinances the portfolio’s actual debt, plus a Letter of Credit facility and a working capital facility to support FRV Australia’s development activities across the country.</p>
<p><strong>Enlight Renewable Energy, a utility-scale solar, wind, and energy storage project developer, </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/enlight-secures-financing-for-atrisco-energy-storage-project/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>announced</strong></a><strong> the financial close for the energy storage portion</strong> of its Atrisco Solar and Energy Storage project. The project, which has a solar generation capacity of 364 MW coupled with 1.2 GWh of energy storage capacity, is located outside Albuquerque, New Mexico.</p>
<p><strong>DRI, an Amsterdam-based renewable energy company and a subsidiary of DTEK Group, </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/dri-acquires-133-mw-energy-storage-project-in-poland/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>announced</strong></a><strong> the acquisition of a 133 MW/532 MWh energy storage project</strong> in Trzebinia, Poland. DRI acquired 100% of the shares from Columbus Energy, a Polish renewable energy services provider. The company acquired the rights to build the project in March 2024, with commercial operations expected to begin in January 2027.</p>
<p><strong>Scatec, a renewable energy solutions provider, announced <a href="https://mercomcapital.com/scatec-secures-financing-solar-projects-tunisia/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">financial</a> closure for the Sidi Bouzid and Tozeur solar projects, which have a total capacity of 120 MW in Tunisia</strong> (each 60 MW). According to the signed partnership agreement, Scatec will jointly develop and own the projects with Aeolus, a joint venture of Japanese conglomerate Toyota Tsusho Corporation.</p>
