					</table><p>The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (<a href="https://www.delhimetrorail.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">DMRC</a>) has invited bids for 3.5 MW rooftop solar projects on its under-construction Phase-IV network stations under the Renewable Energy Supply Company (RESCO) model, as the metro service provider looks to power its operations using solar energy.</p>
<p>The last date to submit bids is April 25, 2024. Bids will be opened the next day.</p>
<p>The scope of work includes design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and 25-year operation and maintenance of 3.5 MW rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) projects over DMRC&#8217;s new Line-07 Extension from Majlis Park to Maujpur (1.6 MW), Line-08 Extension from Majlis Park to Deepali Chowk (1.26 MW), the Mukundpur Depot (0.6 MW), and the Madhuban Chowk Receiving Substation (0.04 MW).</p>
<p>The project&#8217;s estimated cost is ₹136.8 million (~$1.68 million). Interested bidders must submit a tender security amount of ₹1.37 million (~$16,500). The tender documents will be available for purchase from March 15 to April 25, 2024, on the government&#8217;s e-procurement portal at a cost of ₹23,600 (~$284).</p>
<p>The successful bidder will have 18 months to install and commission the 3.5 MW rooftop solar projects. DMRC plans to conduct an online e-Reverse Auction among technically and commercially qualified bidders to determine the lowest tariff for the 25-year power purchase period.</p>
<p>The Corporation has set a ceiling tariff of ₹4.50 (~$0.054) per kWh for the projects.</p>
<p><strong>Eligibility Criteria</strong></p>
<p>Bidders can originate from any country, either as a single entity or in any combination of entities. But bidders from a country with a land border with India must be registered with the Competent Authority.</p>
<p>Bidders must also have successfully commissioned grid-connected solar power projects within the last seven years preceding the month of tender submission, with specific capacity requirements outlined as follows: at least one similar work totaling a minimum of 2,800 kW capacity, or two similar works each totaling a minimum of 1,750 kW capacity, or three similar works each totaling a minimum of 1,400 kW capacity.</p>
<p>The average annual turnover of the last five financial years should be at least ₹73 million (~$880,500), while the net worth of the bidder during the last audited financial year should be a minimum ₹18.3 million (~$220,700).</p>
<p>In 2022, DMRC <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/delhi-metro-1-mw-rooftop-project-khyber-pass-depot" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids to install a 1 MW rooftop solar project at the Khyber Pass depot stabling lines of DMRC. Previously, it <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/delhi-metro-invites-bids" target="_blank" rel="noopener">issued</a> a request for selection to set up 2 MW of rooftop solar PV systems under the RESCO model.</p>

Delhi Metro Issues Tender for 3.5 MW Rooftop Solar Projects

					</table><p>Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation (<a href="https://english.bmrc.co.in/#/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">BMRCL</a>) has invited bids to install and commission 20 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar systems at stations and depot buildings under the renewable energy service company (RESCO) model.</p>
<p>The successful bidder will also have to take care of the operation and maintenance of the project for 25 years.</p>
<p>The last date to submit the bids is August 10, 2022. Bids will be opened on the same day.</p>
<p>The site details are given below:</p>
<p>Bidders will have to submit ₹9.164 million (~$116,154) as the bid security deposit. The successful bidder, within 30 days of the issuance of the allocation letter, should furnish ₹24 million (~$304,200) as performance security.</p>
<p>The program with an aggregate capacity of 20 MW at various locations of BMRCL envisages the installation of solar systems on the roofs of stations and depot buildings.</p>
<p>Only &#8216;Class I local suppliers&#8217; will be eligible to bid in this tender. A Class-I local supplier is a supplier or service provider whose goods, services, or works offered for procurement, have local content equal to or more than 50%.</p>
<p>Any country that shares a land border with India and to which the government of India has not extended lines of credit will be eligible to bid in this tender.</p>
<p>Bidders should be shortlisted as developers for public sector undertakings (PSUs) in the last five years.</p>
<p>They should have executed projects on government buildings. They should have completed 75% of the allocated capacity in the last five years until 28 days before the bid submission date.</p>
<p>Bidders should have installed and commissioned grid-connected solar power projects for a minimum capacity of 20 MW in the last ten years, out of which 50% of the capacity should have been installed on government buildings or buildings of the public sector undertakings (PSUs) and government undertakings.</p>
<p>They should have executed projects of a minimum of 3 MW capacity at any metro station or depot in India or collectively at multiple rail projects in India. In the last five years, they should also have experience executing rooftop solar projects on metro stations and depots under revenue operation.</p>
<p>Bidders should also have owned and operated, as a developer, grid-connected rooftop solar power projects with a minimum capacity of 5 MW under the RESCO model on government buildings or buildings of PSUs and government undertakings.</p>
<p>They should have designed, supplied, installed, and commissioned at least one contract of grid-connected solar power project of capacity not less than 1 MW, which should have been commissioned six months before the bid submission date.</p>
<p>In the case of a joint venture or consortium, the lead member must have completed a minimum capacity of 10 MW, and the other members should have completed a minimum capacity of 5 MW each in the last ten years.</p>
<p>The bidders&#8217; minimum average annual turnover during the last three financial years should be ₹275 million (~$3.49 million). Their net worth should be positive for the last two financial years.</p>
<p>Recently, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation <a href="https://mercomindia.com/delhi-metro-1-mw-rooftop-project-khyber-pass-depot/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids to install a 1 MW rooftop solar project at the Khyber Pass depot stabling lines of DMRC. The scope of work included the design, engineering, supply, storage, civil work, erection, installation, testing, and commissioning of a 1 MW rooftop solar system.</p>
