					</table><p>The Punjab Department of Water Supply and Sanitation (<a href="https://dwss.punjab.gov.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">DWSS</a>) has invited bids to install and commission 8.7 MW of solar projects at 970 rural piped water supply systems in the state.</p>
<p>The successful bidder will also have to take care of the project&#8217;s operation and maintenance for five years.</p>
<p>The estimated cost of the project is ₹567.53 million (~$6.85 million).</p>
<p>The last date to submit the bids online is January 12, 2023. Bids will be opened the following day.</p>
<p>Bidders must submit ₹3 million (~$36,213) as an earnest money deposit.</p>
<p>Within 21 days of receipt of the acceptance letter, the successful bidder will have to furnish a performance bank guarantee for an amount equivalent to 5% of the contract price.</p>
<p>Bidders should have previously executed one similar project of value not less than 80% of the estimated cost of the project, two similar projects of value not less than 50% of the estimated cost, or three similar works of value not less than 40% of the estimated cost during the last five years.</p>
<p>The minimum annual financial turnover of bidders should equal 40% of the project&#8217;s estimated cost in any of the last five financial years.</p>
<p>Bidders will have to commit to investing up to 25% of the contract value during the implementation of the work.</p>
<p>The solar modules and cells to be used for the project should be made in India. The solar module efficiency should be greater than or equal to 16%, and they must have a minimum capacity of 250 Wp.</p>
<p>The modules should carry a performance warranty of &gt;90% during the first ten years and &gt;80% during the next 15 years. Further, they should have a performance warranty of &gt;97% during the first year of installation, and the modules&#8217; degradation should be below 1% per annum.</p>
<p>The predicted electrical degradation of power generated should not exceed 20% of the minimum rated power over the 25-year period and not more than 10% after ten years of the fully rated original output.</p>
<p>Recently, the Punjab Energy Development Agency <a href="https://mercomindia.com/punjab-bids-10-mw-rooftop-solar-systems/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids to install and commission 10 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar systems with the net metering facility on government buildings across the state under the renewable energy service company model.</p>
