SJVN Green, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SJVN, has invited bids for the balance of system (BOS) package to set up two grid-connected solar power projects with a total capacity of 360 MW in Gujarat.

The successful bidder must also take care of the project’s operation and maintenance for three years.

The two projects with 100 MW and 260 MW capacity will be installed in the Kutch district of Gujarat.

The last date to submit the bids is August 1, 2023. Bids will be opened on the same day.

Bidders will have to submit an earnest money deposit of ₹36 million (~$439,085) for quoted capacity up to 100 MW, ₹96 million (~$1.17 million) for quoted capacity up to 160 MW, and ₹133 million (~$1.62 million) for quoted capacity up to 360 MW.

To be eligible, bidders should have installed and commissioned grid-connected solar power projects of a cumulative installed capacity of 30 MW or higher as engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractors or developers. Out of this, at least one project should be of 10 MW or higher capacity.

The reference project of 10 MW or higher capacity must have been in operation for at least three months prior to the date of the notice inviting tender.

Alternatively, the bidders should have executed an industrial project in the area of power, steel, oil & gas, petrochemical, fertilizer, cement, coal mining, or any other process industry in a single project of a value of ₹2 billion (~$24.39 million) for a quoted capacity of 360 MW, ₹1.44 billion (~$17.56 million) for a quoted capacity of 260 MW, and ₹560 million (~$6.83 million) for a quoted capacity of 100 MW.

They should also have executed at least one electrical substation of 33 kV or above voltage level, consisting of equipment such as 33kV or above voltage level circuit breakers and power transformer which should have been operational for at least six months before the tender issue date.

Further, the average annual turnover of bidders during the last three years should be at least ₹560 million (~$6.83 million) for the quoted capacity of 100 MW, ₹1.44 billion (~$17.56 million) for the quoted capacity of 260 MW, and ₹2 billion (~$24.39 million) for the quoted capacity of 360 MW.

The net worth of bidders must be positive during the preceding financial year and in any two of the last three financial years.

Bidders should have a working capital of at least ₹2.5 million (~$30,492)/MW as of the last day of the previous financial year to meet the project’s financial requirements.

Recently, SJVN invited bids to select renewable developers for the supply of 1,500 MW of power from interstate transmission system-connected renewable energy projects with energy storage capacities across India.

Earlier, SJVN Green Energy had awarded Bharat Vikas Group India the contract to install a BoS package for a 100 MW solar project in Punjab. The contract was worth ₹1.33 billion (~$16 million) and included O&M of the solar project for three years.
