Singareni Collieries Floats O&M Tender for 5 MW Floating Solar Project

Government-owned coal mining company Singareni Collieries Company (SCCL) has invited bids for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of a 5 MW floating solar power project at the Singareni Thermal Plant’s water storage reservoir for eight years.
Bids must be submitted by July 28, 2025.
Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit of ₹150,000 (~$1750).
Selected bidders must undertake the maintenance and troubleshooting work for the project. Its downtime must not exceed 48 hours from the time the faults occur.
The scope of work also entails operating grid interfaces, managing curtailments, adjusting settings such as power factor or other ancillary services, and logging operational data for periodic processing. It includes the project’s routine and periodic maintenance, overhauling, and breakdown maintenance.
Selected bidders must also repair or replace defective modules, inverters, high-tension panels, and other components.
Bidders must have completed ground-mounted or floating solar projects with a minimum capacity of 2 MW in the last five years as a developer or O&M contractor.
Bidders must have completed at least two ground-mounted or floating solar projects of 1 MW capacity each as a developer or O&M contractor.
Bidders must have a minimum annual turnover of ₹10 million (~$116,636) in the last three financial years. They must have a minimum working capital of ₹7.5 million (~$87,477) in the previous financial year.
In May this year, SCCL invited bids for the engineering, procurement, and construction of 5 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar systems on residential colonies and office buildings in its different areas.
In March, SCCL floated two tenders to develop solar projects with a cumulative capacity of 137 MW in Telangana.
In January, the Solar Energy Corporation of India, on behalf of SCCL, invited bids to develop a 10 MW floating solar project at the Singareni Thermal Power Plant.
