Andhra Pradesh Tenders 1.2 GW Rooftop Solar Projects Under PM Surya Ghar

The New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (NREDCAP) has issued a request for selection to implement 1,198.21 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects for 599,105 scheduled caste and scheduled tribe consumers under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana.
Bids must be submitted by August 5, 2025. Bids will be opened on August 6.
Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit of ₹100,000 (~$1,166.55) and a bid processing fee of ₹25,000 (~$291.64).
Selected bidders must submit a performance bank guarantee of 5% of the total awarded contract value.
The scope of work entails the design, engineering, supply, transportation, installation, erection, testing, and commissioning of the solar projects. It also includes providing operation and maintenance services for five years.
Selected bidders must conduct civil/structural, electrical, and general works, including piping and cabling, for the projects. They must also include a provision for data acquisition with a communication facility to the centralized monitoring system of Andhra Pradesh’s distribution companies (DISCOMs).
The scope of work also involves providing project financing, obtaining permits, sanctions, and clearances, as well as securing insurance at all stages of the projects. It also includes site survey, measurement of solar isolation, and other parameters for designing each system.
The projects must be completed within six months.
The project components must be compliant with domestic content requirements.
Bidders must be registered or empanelled with Indian DISCOMs, NREDCAP, or the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy through the PM Surya Ghar portal.
Bidders must have designed, engineered, supplied, installed, tested, commissioned, and provided O&M services for rooftop solar projects in the commercial and industrial or residential sectors under the capital or operational expenditure modes in the previous three years.
This experience must align with the following capacity ranges:
Bidders under the general category must have an average annual turnover of ₹10 million (~$116,654.8)/MW in the last three years. Those under the local category must have a turnover of ₹5 million (~$58,327.4)/MW during the same period.
Bidders under the general category must have a net worth of ₹10 million (~$116,654.8)/MW. Those under the local category must have a turnover of ₹5 million (~$58,327.4)/MW.
The net worth for bidders under all categories must not have been negative during the past three years.
In November last year, NREDCAP issued an empanelment tender to install grid-connected rooftop solar systems of 1 kW to 500 kW at various locations in Andhra Pradesh under the capital expenditure mode.
