The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) tendered a 5 MW solar project to be developed at the Ordnance Factory in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The bid-submission deadline is August 16, 2017.

This Project comes under the Defence program to set up over 300 MW of grid connected and off grid solar PV Projects by Defence Establishments under the Ministry of Defence and Para Military Forces under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and JNNSM.

The project will be developed on ‘build, own, operate’ basis and the scope of work includes, design, engineering, manufacture, supply, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning of the project.
