Sabar Dairy Invites Bids for a 1 MW Rooftop Solar System in Gujarat

Sabarkantha District Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union (Sabar Dairy) has invited bids for the design, engineering, procurement, supply, construction, and commissioning of a 1 MW grid-connected rooftop solar system at its facility in Himmatnagar, Gujarat.

The successful bidder will have to take care of the operation and maintenance activities of the project for five years.

The last date to submit the bids is June 6, 2022.

The project must be commissioned within 180 days.

Bidders will have to submit ₹400,000 (~$5,160) as an earnest money deposit.

The bidder should have experience in design, procurement,  supply, installation and commissioning, and operation & maintenance of a single rooftop or ground-mounted solar power project of a minimum of 750 kW capacity in India in the last five years.

The bidder should have successfully completed one contract of ₹30 million (~$387,000) or two contracts, each not less than ₹18 million (~$232,200), or three contracts, each not less than ₹12 million (~$154,800).

The bidder should submit three months of electricity bills of the respective distribution company (DISCOM) of the 750 kW installed system.

The bidder should have a valid electrical contractor license and should carry out the related electrical work.

The bidder should have a minimum average annual turnover of ₹70 million (~$903,000) during the last five years. The bidder should submit the audited annual reports of the last five financial years.

In 2020, Sabar Dairy invited bids for 2 MW of solar power projects at its chilling centers in Idar and Dhansura.

The Telangana State Renewable Energy Development Corporation had floated two tenders for 2.2 MW of ground-mounted solar projects. The tenders were for 1 MW of projects at the Telangana State Dairy Development Cooperative Federation and 1.2 MW at Vijaya Dairy plants.
