Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments (REIL) has invited bids for rate contracts to set up 1 MW rooftop solar power projects on multiple government buildings in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Lakshadweep, and Puducherry.

Bids must be submitted by June 28, 2025. Bids will be opened on June 29.

Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit of ₹500,000 (~$5,838.5) and a tender fee of ₹1,000 (~$11.68).

The tender’s estimated value is ₹25 million (~$291,937).

The scope of work entails the design, engineering, manufacturing, transportation, erection, testing, and commissioning of the solar projects. It also includes providing transportation, unloading, and storage of the project components, as well as obtaining insurance.

Successful bidders must provide operation and maintenance services for five years.

They must also set up three-phase net meters, per the state utility policy for grid connectivity. REIL will provide the modules at the project site.

The projects’ inverters must be from Class-I local suppliers, with a minimum of 50% local content.

Bidders must meet any of the following criteria for the last seven years:

• Three similar completed works worth at least 40% of the estimated cost
• Two similar completed works worth at least 50% of the estimated cost
• One similar completed work worth at least 80% of the estimated cost

Similar works include the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of grid-connected solar projects in government buildings or projects.

Bidders must have a positive net worth and a minimum average annual turnover of 30% of the estimated tender value during the last three years.

Recently, REIL invited bids for rate contracts to set up 1.35 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects on government buildings in Uttar Pradesh.

In early May this year, REIL invited bids for rate contracts to implement 1 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar systems on government buildings in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, Maharashtra, Goa, and Chhattisgarh.
