REC Invites Bids to Empanel Consultants for Solar Projects Across India

REC Power Development and Consultancy (RECPDCL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of REC, has invited bids to empanel consultants to undertake project management consultancy services for solar projects (floating solar and ground-mounted) at various locations across India for two years.

The last date to submit the bids online is May 23, 2023. Bids will be opened on the same day.

Bidders must submit ₹250,000 (~$3,048) as an earnest money deposit for Category A and ₹500,000 (~$6,097) for Category B.

Bidders can bid under two categories. Under Category A, the minimum floating solar capacity that can bid for is 1 MW, and the maximum cumulative solar capacity is 10 MW. For Category B, the minimum floating solar capacity is 5 MW, and the minimum cumulative solar capacity is 50 MW.

For Category A, the bidder should have executed a single work with a minimum capacity of 8 MW and at least one floating solar project with a minimum capacity of 1 MW in the last four years as of the bid submission date.

Alternatively, the bidder should have executed at least two minimum works of 5 MW each and at least one single floating solar project of a minimum capacity of 1 MW in the last four years.

Similarly, for Category B, the bidder should have executed a single work with a minimum capacity of 40 MW and at least one floating solar project of a minimum capacity of 5 MW in the last four years.

Alternatively, the bidder should have completed at least two works with a minimum capacity of 25 MW each and at least one floating solar project with a minimum capacity of 5 MW during the last four years.

For category A, bidders must have an average annual turnover of ₹10.5 million (~$128,045) for the past four financial years. For Category B, bidders must have an average annual turnover of ₹26.3 million (~$320,723) for the past four years.

Also, the net worth of bidders for the past four years should be positive.

Any delay that may take place in the consultancy services beyond the stipulated time will be subjected to liquidated damages at 0.5% of the contract price for per week of delay, subject to a maximum of 10% of the total contract price.

Last December, RECPDCL invited bids to set up 1,250 MW of interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected solar power projects (Tranche I) across India.

Earlier, RECPDCL had invited bids to set up 500 MW of ISTS-connected solar power projects across the country.
