Bidders must submit a bid bond of ₹111.4 million (~$1.3 million) and a contract performance guarantee of ₹278.5 million (~$3.2 million).

The bid document fee is ₹500,000 (~$ 7,853.45).

The scope of work encompasses the establishment of substations in Washi, featuring two 500 MVA, 400/220 kV Information and Communications Technology (ICT)-connected transmission systems, and two 300 MVA, 400/132 kV ICT-connected transmission systems. It must also include a 125 megavolt-ampere reactive bus reactor at the 400 kV level.

Bidders must also develop a 220 kV line bay and a 132 kV line bay for 16 solar generators that will be developed in the future.

The tender has been issued after the Central Transmission Utility received applications for the development of a transmission system to evacuate 7 GW of solar power capacity in Aurangabad and Osmanabad districts.

Additionally, to evacuate the additional renewable energy generation towards load centers in Pune and Mumbai, a 400 kV Washi pooling station is being planned.

The project also includes establishment, design, engineering, equipment, supply of materials, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning of the project on a build, own, operate, and transfer basis.

Successful bidders must operate and maintain the project.
