NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN) has invited bids to develop a 1 MW grid-connected ground-mounted solar project at GAIL Ajmer, Rajasthan.
Only bidders already empaneled with NVVN are eligible to participate in the tender.
Bids must be submitted by November 24, 2025. Bids will be opened on November 25.
Bidders must furnish a bid security of ₹1 million (~$11,283).
The successful bidder must submit a performance bank guarantee equivalent to 10% of the contract price.
Bidders must furnish a separate security equivalent to 0.1 × G × R, where G represents the annual generation corresponding to the applicable capacity utilization factor (CUF), and R equals ₹5 (~$0.056)/kWh, during the operation and maintenance (O&M) period.
The scope of work includes the complete design, engineering, supply, civil construction, erection, testing, commissioning, and O&M of the solar project for five years from the commissioning date.
The successful bidder must connect the project to the existing mains/ACDB/feeder pillars and interface the electrical loads of the project’s license network/electrical loads. They must obtain approvals for interfacing the project with the grid/electrical loads from the distribution licensee or the Chief Electrical Inspector to Government.
The project must be commissioned within 180 days from the date of the letter of award.
Liquidated damages for delay are fixed at 0.5% divided by seven per day of the uncommissioned portion’s contract value, with a maximum penalty capped at 5% of the total contract price, excluding O&M.
Penalties for shortfalls in performance ratio or annual CUF are set at ₹5 (~$0.056)/kWh.
In October this year, NVVN issued a tender to develop a 1 MW grid-connected rooftop solar project at the Defence Research and Development Organisation premises in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
In July this year, NVVN issued a tender to empanel engineering, procurement, and construction contractors for developing rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects of up to 20 MW per vendor.
