NTPC has invited bids for retrofitting a solar inverter for the 5 MW solar photovoltaic power project at its Dadri thermal power plant in Uttar Pradesh.

The scope of work entails the supply, erection, testing, and inspection of equipment and materials at the manufacturer’s facility, packing, supply, transportation, transit insurance, delivery to the site, unloading, storage, and equipment erection, including associated civil and structural works if any, for the solar power inverter.

The last date for submission of bids is March 26, 2024. Bids will be opened on March 28, 2024.

Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit of ₹100,000 ($1,209).

Eligible bidders should be manufacturers, authorized dealers, or channel partners of manufacturers of solar inverters. They should have supplied and commissioned at least one grid-connected solar inverter of 500 kW with DC input and AC output greater than or equal to 420V and 265V, respectively.

In the last seven years, the bidders must have also executed one order of inverter valued at ₹5.2 million ($62,900), two orders valued at ₹3.2 million ($38,708), or three orders valued at not less than ₹2.6 lakhs ($31,450).

The annual turnover of the bidders should be more than ₹3.4 million ($41,127) in the last three financial years. Class-1 local suppliers are eligible to participate in this bid.

Last month, NTPC’s renewable energy arm invited bids to unload and store solar modules with a total capacity of 631.28 MW for the Bhadla II solar park at the 320 MW Bainsara project site in Rajasthan.

Earlier this year, the company also invited bids for engineering, procurement, and construction of grid-connected rooftop solar power projects with a cumulative capacity of 4,106 kW across five Indian locations.
