NTPC Renewables Issues EPC Tender for 240 MW Solar Project in Rajasthan

NTPC Renewable Energy (NTPC REL) has invited bids for an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) package to develop a 240 MW grid-connected solar project near Devikot in Rajasthan.

The scope of work includes design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, packing and forwarding, transportation, unloading, storage, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar project, including the supply of solar modules.

The successful bidder will also be responsible for the project’s operation and maintenance for three years from the date of commissioning of full capacity.

The last date to submit bids is June 26, 2026. Bids will be opened on the same day.

Bidders must furnish ₹100 million (~$1.04 million) as bid security.

Bidders must fulfill any one of the following criteria:

  • Bidders should have designed, supplied, erected, supervised, and commissioned grid-connected solar power projects of a cumulative capacity of 40 MW or higher, out of which at least one project should have been of 10 MW or higher capacity, and it should have been operational for at least six months prior to bid opening.
  • They should have developed solar projects with a cumulative capacity of 40 MW or higher, of which at least one project should have been of at least 10 MW and have been operational for at least six months prior to bid opening.
  • They should have executed in the last ten years an industrial project in the area of power, steel, oil and gas, petro-chemical, fertilizer, cement, coal mining, including coal handling plant and other process industry, of a value of at least ₹1.7 billion (~$17.75 million), in a single project and the same should have been operational for six months for renewable energy projects and one year for other projects prior to bid opening.

They should have executed at least one electrical substation at a voltage level of 33 kV or above, consisting of equipment such as circuit breakers and power transformers, which should have been in operation for at least six months for renewable energy projects and one year for other projects prior to bid opening.

The average annual turnover of bidders should be at least ₹1.7 billion (~$17.75 million) during the last three financial years, and their net worth should not be less than 100% of the paid-up share capital as of the last day of the preceding financial year.

Recently, NTPC Renewables invited bids for an EPC package to develop a 300 MW grid-connected solar project near Nokhra in Rajasthan.
