NTPC Renewable Energy Invites Bids to Store 631 MW Solar Modules

NTPC Renewable Energy has invited bids to unload and store solar modules of a total capacity of 631.28 MW for the Bhadla II solar park at the 320 MW Bhainsara project site in Rajasthan.

The storage period will be six months with a two-month extension provision.

The last day to submit the bids is February 20, 2024. Bids will be opened on the same day.

Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹500,000 (~$6,023).

The scope of work includes clearing the grass and removing rubbish up to 50 meters outside the site store area, leveling and grading the area to prevent pallets from falling or sliding, and supplying and spreading hard murrum 100 mm thick for module storage.

The work also includes providing mobile lighting towers and a diesel generator set covering a 30-acre area, offering 24×7 security and CCTV surveillance for the module storage area, and supplying at least 450 tarpaulin covering sheets on a monthly rental basis with a minimum size of 30ft x 40ft each.

Selected bidders must submit 10% of the contract value as a performance bank guarantee (PBG) within 45 days after the letter of award is issued. Alternatively, the bidder can opt for a two-stage approach. They can initially provide half of the PBG within 45 days and the rest before completing 50% of the total work.

Bidders must qualify as Class-I local suppliers, defined as suppliers or service providers whose goods, services, or works proposed for procurement have a local content of 50% or higher.

Only bids from Class-I local suppliers will be considered.

Recently, NTPC Renewable Energy invited bids for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of 500 MW (2x 250 MW) grid-connected solar power projects in Bikaner, Rajasthan.

Earlier, NTPC Renewable Energy invited bids for an EPC package to develop 630 MW (2x 315 MW) grid-connected solar power projects in Barethi, Madhya Pradesh.
