NTPC Renewable Energy (NREL) has issued a tender for the supply of bifacial crystalline solar modules with a minimum rating of 570 Wp for a 400 MW solar project in Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh.

Bids must be submitted by March 2, 2026. Bids will be opened on the same day.

Bidders must furnish a bid security of ₹200 million (~$2.21 million).

The scope of work entails the manufacturing, supplying, packing, and transporting of the solar modules.

The solar modules and cells must comply with the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers List I and II, respectively.

Bidders must have manufactured and supplied solar modules or cells of a minimum cumulative capacity of 200 MWp within 12 months in any of the last five years before the bid opening date. At least one of these orders must have been for a capacity of at least 50 MWp. Other orders must have been for at least 10 MWp.

Bidders must have an annual solar module manufacturing capacity of at least 1.67 times their quoted capacity.

Alternatively, bidders must be a group, holding, or subsidiary company of entities that have manufactured and supplied solar modules or cells of a minimum cumulative capacity of 200 MWp within 12 months in any of the last five years before the bid opening date, with at least one of these orders having a minimum capacity of 50 MWp. Other orders for these entities must have been for at least 10 MWp.

Bidders must have an average annual turnover of at least ₹3.19 million (~$35,390) per MWp of the quoted capacity in the last three financial years before the bid opening date.

Bidders must have a minimum net worth of 100% of their paid-up share capital as on the end of the preceding financial year.

Last August, NREL invited bids to supply solar modules for 1,200 MW of solar projects at the Khavda Renewable Energy Park in the Rann of Kutch, Gujarat.

In the same month, NREL invited bids for the supply of crystalline bifacial modules for solar projects in Lalitpur and Chitrakoot districts of Uttar Pradesh with a total capacity of 1,000 MW.
