NTPC Green Energy has invited bids for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) package, including land, for up to 100 MW of agricultural photovoltaic (agri-PV) projects.

The last date for submitting bids is January 22, 2026. Bids will be opened on the same day.

Selected contractors will be responsible for developing projects across multiple locations in Bihar, Odisha, West Bengal, and Madhya Pradesh, with a minimum capacity of 10 MW per location.

A key component of the scope includes the identification and acquisition of the required land, and the complete transfer of title or a lease deed in favor of NTPC Green Energy or its subsidiary.

Contractors must carry out site selection, topographical survey, and geotechnical investigation, along with related studies such as soil testing, water requirement study, crop selection, and preparation of the detailed project report (DPR). The scope also includes designing the agri-PV project, including planning for the irrigation network, grading, and clearing vegetation as required.

The scope covers complete engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning of the solar projects, including the supply and installation of modules, module mounting structures and foundations, and all associated civil and electrical works such as internal roads, buildings, drainage systems, fencing, pooling substation works, transformers, cabling, and metering systems.

The selected bidders must also undertake power evacuation and transmission system development up to the ISTS or STU substation, including bay and bus extension wherever required. They must install SCADA and weather-monitoring stations, as well as dynamic reactive power compensation equipment.

Contractors are also responsible for obtaining all agreements, statutory approvals, and clearances related to the project, including those for power evacuation and grid connectivity, environmental requirements, and approvals from relevant central and state authorities.

The scope includes comprehensive operations and maintenance for three years, including agricultural activities, tie-ups with farmer-producer organizations, supply of mandatory spares, and sale of agricultural produce.

Recently, NTPC Green Energy invited bids for the EPC of a 6 MW floating solar project with a 6 MW/24 MWh battery energy storage system at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Thermal Power Station, operated by the Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company.
