NTPC Commissions 225 MW of Solar at Mandsaur in Madhya Pradesh

The National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has commissioned 225 MW of solar out of the 250 MW solar project being developed at Mandsaur in Madhya Pradesh.

The state-run power generator stated in a release that its present installed solar capacity is 845 MW.

Mercom previously reported, that the entire 250 MW capacity was complete, but due to constraints from the side of solar park developer (Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMS) in this case), the entire capacity could not be commissioned.

The commissioning of the remaining 25 MW capacity depends on evacuation availability.

According to Mercom’s India Solar Project Tracker, the total project capacity comprises of five projects of 50 MW each. Vikram Solar, BHEL and Tata Power won bids to develop 50 MW each and Lanco won bid to develop 100 MW.
