NHPC Issues Tender for 4.79 MW Rooftop Solar Projects in Manipur

NHPC has issued a request for selection (RfS) to set up grid-connected 4.79 MW rooftop solar projects on government buildings in Manipur.
Bids must be submitted by August 21, 2025. Bids will be opened on August 28.
Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit of ₹3.5 million (~$40,024) and a tender fee of ₹5,000 (~$57).
Selected bidders must submit a performance security of ₹2,475 (~$28)/kW.
The scope of work entails the design and engineering of the solar projects. The projects must be set up in shadow-free areas to maximize energy generation.
Modules used in the projects must be from the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers.
Bidders must satisfy one of the following criteria:
- They must have designed, supplied, erected, and commissioned a grid-connected solar project of a cumulative capacity of 400 kW. At least one project must have a minimum 40 kW capacity
- They must be developers of grid-connected solar projects of 400 kW capacity, with one project of at least 40 kW
- They must have been a developer or an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor in the process industry or for infrastructure development of a project having a minimum value of ₹40 million (~$457,410)
Bidders must have executed at least one electrical sub-station of a minimum voltage level of 11 kV as a developer or an EPC contractor. The sub-station must consist of equipment such as 11 kV or above voltage level circuit breakers and power transformers.
Bidders must have a minimum average annual turnover of ₹95 million (~$1 million) in the last three years. They must have a positive net worth in the previous two financial years.
Recently, NHPC issued a tender to set up 1,200 MW of ground-mounted solar projects at the Jalaun Solar Park in Uttar Pradesh. Bundelkhand Saur Urja, a joint venture of NHPC and Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency, is developing the solar park.
