Maharashtra government-owned manganese ore mining company MOIL has invited bids for a 7 MW solar project at its Parsoda Mine site in the state’s Nagpur district.

Bids must be submitted by December 8, 2025. Bids will be opened on December 10.

The estimated cost of the project is ₹329 million (~$3.71 million), excluding GST, and the completion period is five months from the date of contract signing.

Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit of ₹5 million (~$56,400). The successful bidder must submit a performance bank guarantee (PBG) equal to 10% of the project cost.

A separate PBG, equal to 10% of the operation and maintenance (O&M) cost, must also be submitted.

The scope of work encompasses the design, engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of the project, as well as operations and maintenance for five years.

The project will have a fixed O&M cost of 9.44% of the total quoted basic price, distributed as 18% in the first year, 19% in the second year, 20% in the third year, 21% in the fourth year, and 22% in the fifth year.

Bidders must have executed similar solar projects with a capacity of at least 3 MW. They should have completed either three similar works costing at least 40%, two similar works costing 50%, or one similar work costing 80% of the estimated project value.

The average annual turnover of the bidders must be at least 30% of the estimated cost over the past three financial years (2021-2024).

Recently, MOIL invited bids for a 15 MW grid-connected solar project at Rajgarh Khas in Madhya Pradesh.
