Military Engineer Services (MES) has invited bids to install 1,100 kW rooftop solar systems atop buildings at the Jaipur Military Station.
Bids must be submitted by June 6, 2025. Bids will be opened on June 12.
The project’s estimated cost is ₹49 million (~$578,057). The work must be completed within 180 days of the site’s handover.
Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹565,000 (~$6,665).
Selected bidders must furnish 5% of the contract value as performance security within 28 days of receipt of the letter of acceptance.
The minimum annual energy output for the 0.5 MW Niwaru project must be 720,000 units, 187,000 units for the 130 kW Jaipur project, 280,000 units combined for the Bhakrota and BSO Yard systems, and 432,000 units for the Command Motor Transport installation.
MES-enlisted contractors must be in Class “A” or above and have a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a solar firm rated 1A, 1B, 1C, 2A, 2B, or 2C by CRISIL, CARE, FITCH, ICRA, SMERA, or Brick Work Ratings India. Contractors holding such ratings themselves and meeting the prescribed criteria will also be eligible, as are those fulfilling conditions applicable to unenlisted contractors.
Contractors not enlisted must meet Class “A” enlistment standards, including requirements related to annual turnover, financial capacity (solvency and working capital), and successful completion of similar works. They must also have an MoU with a solar firm carrying the specified rating unless they themselves hold such a rating, in which case the MoU is not required.
All bidders must have executed one solar project of at least 0.88 MW (80% of the tendered capacity), two projects of at least 0.55 MW each (50%), or three projects of at least 0.44 MW each (40%) within the last seven years.
In April, MES, Eastern Command, Shillong Zone, invited bids to install rooftop solar systems with a total capacity of 1,100 kW at Rangapahar Military Station in Nagaland.
Earlier this year, MES Chief Engineer Bathinda Zone invited bids for the operation and maintenance of two solar projects in Rajasthan.
