The Military Engineer Services (MES) has invited bids for the comprehensive maintenance of a 3 MW solar power project at the Panagarh Military Station in West Bengal.
The scope of work includes restoration and corrective maintenance of the solar project, including module reinstallation, inverter rehabilitation, cabling, earthing restoration, and lightning protection.
The last date to submit bids is March 19, 2026. Bids will be opened on the following day.
Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹218,500 (~$2,403). The successful bidder must furnish a performance bank guarantee equivalent to 5% of the contract value.
The estimated cost of the contract is ₹10.91 million (~$119,970).
The contract will be valid for 425 days.
Bidders should be enlisted with MES in the Class B and above category, subject to satisfactory remarks with respect to performance with respect to work in hand as reflected in the workload return or any other document from an engineer authority.
Bidders should have two to three years of experience in the operation and maintenance of solar projects.
The contractor must ensure the plant’s availability is up to 99%. However, plant availability during grid outages will be considered only if certified by the competent authority.
To optimize the useful life of the power project’s equipment, the contractor should carry out the routine, breakdown, and preventive maintenance in accordance with the provided schedules and the equipment manufacturer’s recommendations.
Recently, MES invited bids for the operations and maintenance of a 6 MW solar project at Meerut cantonment in Uttar Pradesh.
Last month, MES invited bids for the maintenance of a 1 MW solar project at Air Force Station in Gwalior.
