Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA) has invited bids for installing and commissioning 1.062 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar systems on buildings located within the premises of the Government Medical College and Hospital, Nagpur.

The projects will be developed under the net metering arrangement.

The successful bidder will also have to take care of the project’s operation and maintenance for five from the date of the commissioning of the project.

The last date to submit the bids is September 15, 2023. Bids will be opened the following day.

The project’s estimated cost is ₹52.54 million (~$635,477).

Bidders must submit ₹525,373 (~$6,354) as an earnest money deposit. The successful bidder must also furnish an amount equivalent to 3% of the contract value as a security deposit.

Bidders should have experience in manufacturing, supply, installation testing, commissioning, and maintenance of grid-connected solar power projects (with net metering) of more than 2 MW capacity. Out of the total capacity of 2 MW, the bidder should have experience in installing and commissioning at least 600 kW of grid-connected solar power projects using DC power optimizers.

They must have a field service set up to provide good after-sale services, including necessary repair and maintenance in Maharashtra.

Also, bidders must have a minimum average turnover of ₹100 million (~$1,209) during the last three financial years.

They must submit a bank solvency certificate of value not less than ₹10 million (~$120,951) to MEDA.

MEDA has mandated the use of solar modules from the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.

The total solar array capacity should not exceed the allocated capacity and comprise solar crystalline modules of a minimum of 330 Wp and above wattage.

In March this year, MEDA invited bids for installing and commissioning 10 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar systems under the capital expenditure model on government buildings at various locations in the state.

Earlier, MEDA had issued an expression of interest to discover a tariff to implement 10 MW grid-connected rooftop solar photovoltaic systems on government buildings at various locations in Maharashtra.
