Noida-based wind energy solutions company Inox Wind will invest ₹4 billion (~$45.09 million) in establishing a wind turbine-blade manufacturing unit in Kushtagi, Koppal district, Karnataka.

The project includes an initial investment of ₹3 billion (~$33.82 million) to set up the blade manufacturing plant, followed by an additional ₹1 billion (~$11.27 million) for wind tower fabrication.

The facility will be developed on 70 acres of land in Kyadiguppa village.

Inox Wind is part of the Inox GFL Group, with a diversified presence across refrigerants, fluoropolymers, specialty chemicals, wind energy, and renewables.

The company operates four wind turbine manufacturing facilities in Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, with a combined annual production capacity of 1.5 GW. The company manufactures all key components of wind turbine generators (WTG) in-house, which include blades, tubular towers, hubs, nacelles, and other critical parts

The company said its WTGs are specifically designed for low wind speed sites in India.

Inox Wind has installed over 1,500 wind turbines across India to date, representing a total installed capacity of over 3.1 GW.

In August this year, Inox Wind announced the redemption of its preference shares, worth ₹5.6 billion (~$65.12 million). In a stock exchange disclosure, the company said it has fully redeemed 560 million unlisted, non-convertible, non-cumulative, participating, and redeemable preference shares.

Inox Leasing and Finance, Inox Wind’s promoter company, held the redeemed preference shares. According to the disclosure, the funds for the redemption were sourced from the proceeds raised through a fresh rights issue of equity shares.

Inox Wind reported a revenue of ₹8.63 billion (~$98.57 million) in the first quarter of the financial year 2026, a 32% year-over-year increase from ₹6.55 billion (~$74.87 million).

In June this year, the National Company Law Tribunal, Chandigarh bench, approved the merger between Inox Wind Energy and Inox Wind, both INOXGFL Group companies.
