The Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) has invited bids for the operations and maintenance (O&M) of 5 MW solar power project for three months at IOCL Rawra, Rajasthan.
Bids must be submitted by May 30, 2025. Bids will be opened on May 31.
The project’s defect liability is 12 months from the contract’s completion date.
The O&M scope of work covers full preventive (scheduled) and breakdown maintenance to maximize electricity generation.
Successful bidders must rectify and bear all rectification costs for equipment or component faults due to incorrect operation, improper maintenance, faulty workmanship, negligence, lack of competency, or otherwise.
They must also oversee the maintenance of a 15 km 33 kV transmission line. They must liaise with the state utility to immediately restore the faulty feeder in case of an outage of external lines connected with the project.
Bidders must have a minimum annual turnover of ₹527,000 (~$6,205) during any one of the last three financial years.
They must also fulfill one of the following conditions as a main or sub-contractor during the last seven years:
- They must have completed similar work costing at least 439,000 (~$5,170.5)
- They must have completed two similar works, each costing at least ₹352,000 (~$4,145.8)
- They must have completed three similar works, each costing at least ₹264,000 (~$3,109.4)
Similar works include the O&M of a grid-interactive solar project with a minimum capacity of 500kW.
Recently, IOCL awarded L&T Energy Green Tech its auction to set up a green hydrogen generation unit of 10 kilo tons per annum capacity on a build-own-operate basis at its Panipat Refinery Petrochemical Complex, Haryana.
Earlier, IOCL’s board of directors approved an additional equity investment of ₹10.86 billion (~$129.44 million) in its wholly owned subsidiary, Terra Clean, to develop 4.3 GW renewable energy capacity.
