Indian Oil Floats EPC Tender for 1 MW Solar Power Project

Indian Oil Corporation has invited bids for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of a 1 MW grid-connected solar power project at its LPG bottling plant in Tikri Kalan, Delhi, along with five years of comprehensive operation and maintenance services.
The project will be set up under a group net metering mechanism with the Indian Oil Bhawan in Yusuf Sarai, New Delhi.
The estimated contract value is ₹62.15 million (~$700,072).
Bids must be submitted by November 24, 2025. Bids will be opened the next day.
Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit of ₹156,000 (~$1,757).
The selected bidder must submit 10% of the contract value as bid security.
Bidders should have completed three similar works each costing at least ₹18.08 million (~$203,649), two similar works each costing at least ₹24.11 million (~$271,570), or one work costing at least ₹30.13 million (~$339,378) during the last seven years.
The annual turnover of the bidders during any of the last three financial years should be at least ₹36.16 million (~$407,296).
In August, IndianOil Petronas, a joint venture between Indian Oil Corporation and Malaysia-based Petronas, issued a tender for a non-comprehensive annual maintenance contract for a 3.4 MW solar project at Athipattu village in Tamil Nadu for five years.
In May, Indian Oil Corporation invited bids for the operations and maintenance of a 5 MW solar power project in Rawra, Rajasthan.
A total of 16.5 GW of utility-scale solar tenders were issued by various agencies in the third quarter (Q3) of the calendar year 2025, representing a 137.6% increase from 6.9 GW in the previous quarter and a decrease of 17.8 % from 20 GW in the same quarter last year, according to Mercom India research.
In the first nine months (9M) of 2025, more than 37 GW was tendered, compared to 72 GW in 9M 2024, representing a 48% YoY decrease.
